With the great quality I got here, I am thinking I can record scenes with both the Lumix and the Camcorder...one on tripod.

I bought the FS3 as a pocket camera to carry it everywhere. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks of testing.

I love the Panasonic Lumix line. I purchased the FS3 to replace my Lumix LZ3. The camera is very thin and nice looking with a very big LCD screen.

I think that this is the best camera I ever have. I can say this camera a few advantages: 1. The biggest advantage of this camera is its screen size.

This camera was a great upgrade. Low cost and good performance are a winning combination.

A Change from Film Cameras
Looking back over several issues of this newsletter, there have been several discussions teaching why you should use a card reader instead of the inferior download cable supplied with cameras. Heres yet another reason. Unlike lm cameras, digital cameras can continue to evolve. The read only memory, or rmware, in your camera can be changed or updated at any time without having to be returned to the factory. As a camera owner, you may update your camera by yourself if you so choose. On subsequent pages is a list of camera updates available. Your camera may well be on the list. Sometimes the updates are to improve the cameras capabilities, but more frequently they are to correct inadequacies in the original workings of the cameras. Camera companies will not upgrade your camera for you, no matter the reason for the update. In most updates, you download the new software from the camera makers web site, transfer it to a memory card which you then insert in your camera. Turn the camera on, and either the camera updates itself or gives you instructions on the LCD panel. There is no way this can be done with the download USB cable. The process is not very difcult to do, but is time consuming and can be unnerving. If the update is not done correctly, you cannot go back to the original rmware version - its gone. If you go to your camera makers web site and see how the update will improve your camera, you may decide to do the update or have us do it for you. One customer recently commented that he had been dissatised with the autofocus delay and shutter lag of his camera. After being updated, he is very pleased with how much faster his camera 2

performs. He had considered replacing it, but now is happy keeping it. So far, our stores have performed updates for our customers. If you are interested, contact us. (Sorry, but we will not perform updates on Kodak or Polaroid cameras which were sold elsewhere.)
