Privacy Mode Each handset in the system has the capability to manually block all other handsets from joining in on the conversation. When this feature is in use the handset and base will either display the word PRIVACY or an indicator button will light up, depending on the model. The privacy mode is set at the beginning of a new call and automatically shuts off when the call is ended.
