Note: L To ensure the battery charges properly, clean the charge contacts of the handset and base unit with a soft, dry cloth once a month. Clean more often if the unit is subject to grease, dust, or high humidity. Battery strength You can confirm the battery strength on the handset display. Battery icon 3 Battery strength Fully charged Medium Low When flashing: needs to be recharged. Discharged
*1 Handset is off the base unit but not in use. Note: L Battery power is consumed whenever the handset is off the base unit, even when the handset is not in use. Battery replacement
If battery performance diminishes, make sure you have cleaned the charge contacts and fully charged the battery. The battery needs to be replaced if any of the following are displayed after a few phone calls even when you have fully charged the battery. Recharge battery 3 (flashing) Charge for 6 HRS 4 L Use only the rechargeable Panasonic battery noted on page 6.

To use this feature, you must subscribe to your telephone companys Caller ID service. Full description
The 5.8 GHz Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum technology operates on a different wavelength with much less traffic than the 2.4 GHz technology while maintaining the great security, incredible clarity and long range. Have a wireless computer network, or thinking about getting one? 5.8 GHz technology will not interfere with wireless networks such as 802.11b or 802.11g WiFi. With Talking Caller ID1, you don't have to get up to see who's calling-the phone will tell you. Panasonic cordless phones are the only cordless phones to incorporate true text-to-speech technology used in conjunction with your Caller ID service. There's no need for preprogramming or any fancy setup-as long as you have Caller ID service, just plug-and-play! Now you won't be interrupted by strange calls when you're washing the dishes, eating dinner or just watching TV. Let the phone tell you who's calling, so you can decide if you want to answer it or not. This expandable phone system lets you upload unlimited free recordings of your favorite songs or sounds that you can set as your telephone ringer. All you need is the included audio cable and the music or sounds. Maximum recording time is 2 minutes. Having a handset speakerphone may not seem like such a big deal-until you have to call an automated phone system. By the time you press "2" and return the phone to your ear, you missed half the next option! And when they put you on hold for ten minutes, do you really need to hold the phone? Not with the handset speakerphone. Just listen along, and press a button or pick up when it's convenient. You'll think up other great uses, like letting Grandma and Grandpa listen to their new grandchild at the same time, painting your nails as you talk to your best friend, or just being able to set the phone down while you talk.
