Worst Panasonic phone ever purchased I purchased two of these when they first came out - not from Amazon. One for my mother and one for me. Good reception, responsive, functional This is a nearly perfect unit. The clarity is outstanding. Battery life is great.

Power Supply (US)

Consmption (US)
1: The frame rate may slow down depending on the network environment, PC performance, image quality, when viewing dark images, etc. 2: For MPEG-4 only. Not applicable to JPEG. When viewing images at 1280 x 1024 resolution, frame rate is reduced to 7.5 fps for all users, regardless of the resolution they are using to view images. 3: Only still images in JPEG format can be displayed on a mobile phone.
4: The maximum number of images that can be buffered depends on image resolution and image quality. 5: POP Before SMTP Authentication and SMTP Authentication (PLAIN, LOGIN, and CRAM-MD5) are supported. For information about MPEG-4 image capacity, see the Panasonic Network Camera website at http://panasonic.net/pcc support/netwkcam/support/info.html.

Full description

KX-TG8231B is an expandable digital cordless DECT 6.0 phone system. Panasonic's DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. You can put handsets all over your house - in your kids' rooms or even in the garage - without all the messy wiring or complicated setup. With Panasonic's DECT 6.0 expandable phone systems, you don't need a phone jack for each additional handset, just one for the base unit. So start expanding and forget about all your wiring worries.
