PhotoShot Built-in Digital Still Camera In addition to normal camcorder operation, the PV-L453 VHS-C Palmcorder Camcorder features a PhotoShot Built-in Digital Still Camera. The still pictures taken while using this feature may be stored on a stamp-sized SD memory card. To transfer these still pictures to your computer1 for use in e-mail or printed documents, you can use the included PC connection cable. Or, simply remove the optional memory card from the camcorder, place the card into a PC adaptor for the SD card2 or an SD USB Reader/Writer. You can even use these still images to create your own slide show by recording them to the tape in the camcorder.

SD Memory Card Slot The PV-L453 is equipped with an incredibly useful SD memory card slot. SD memory cards are extremely small about the size of a postage stamp! And they can be thought of as digital film. You simply insert a card into the camcorder, take still pictures using the PhotoShot Built-in Digital Still Camera until the card is full, then remove it and replace it with a fresh card. Or, selectively erase any or all of the images from the card and reuse it. And best of all, SD memory cards come in a variety of sizes, so you can choose the memory capacity thats right for you.
Picture-in-Picture This feature allows you to insert a previously taken digital still image into the video youre recording onto the tape. The still image is taken using the PhotoShot feature and appears on the right of the video youre recording. The video and miniaturized still shot then appear together during playback. Note: Available on PV-L453. MagicPix Images This feature is a great way to record full-color video or still images even in low light settings. Now you can capture priceless memories like a sleeping baby or a moonlit vacation night. Note: Available on PV-L453. 700/750/780x Digital Zoom3 Through the use of digital technology, the zoom ratio on Panasonic VHS camcorders can be increased to an amazing 700:1 or greater, depending on the model. Digital Electronic Image Stabilization (D-EIS) Panasonic Digital EIS compensates for unintentional hand and camcorder movement to help stabilize your recordings, even when youre recording as a passenger from a moving vehicle or while walking. Battery Refresh The charge capacity of a Ni-Cd (Nickel-Cadmium) battery is often reduced through repeated use and charging. Thats why all Panasonic AC adaptors/battery chargers for Palmcorder Camcorders have a refresh function, which drains the battery charge before recharging. Programmed Recording You can program your camcorder to start and stop recording for either 10, 20, 30 minutes or until the tape ends. Digital Effects Digital Strobe: Digitally freezes a series of images. Digital Still: Digitally freezes one image. Digital Wipe: A horizontal, vertical, or square wipe that can also be frozen at any point can make for an exciting transition between scenes.
