Excellent recorder This is a good recorder and player. I worked quite well. Amazon delivery was as good as could be expected. Superior to the alternate recorder, the Sony TCM-200DV The Panasonic RQ-L31 is inexpensive and compact, and has a generous array of special features.

After recharging (about 2 hours), install the charged batteries into the unit. Note: Do not recharge more than 8 hours at one time, or the rechargeable batteries life may be shortened. Rechargeable batteries and charger Use only the included charger when recharging. During recharging, it is normal for the charger and the rechargeable batteries to become slightly warm. Carry and store the rechargeable batteries in the supplied battery carrying case to prevent contact with metal objects. Do not peel off the plastic covering on the rechargeable batteries. This covering has been fitted for your safety and removal can lead to short-circuiting of the battery.

Record prevention

Removing the tab(s) of the cassette (with a small screwdriver) will prevent accidental erasure. Side A
Do not play your headphones or earphones at a high volume. Hearing experts advise against continuous extended play. If you experience a ringing in your ears, reduce volume or discontinue use. Do not use while operating a motorized vehicle. It may create a traffic hazard and is illegal in many areas. You should use extreme caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations. Even if your headphones or earphones are the open-air type designed to let you hear outside sounds, dont turn up the volume so high that you cant hear whats around you.
Sound can be deceiving. Over time your hearing comfort level adapts to higher volumes of sound. So what sounds normal can actually be loud and harmful to your hearing. Guard against this by setting your equipment at a safe level BEFORE your hearing adapts. To establish a safe level: Start your volume control at a low setting. Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it comfortably and clearly, and without distortion. Once you have established a comfortable sound level: Set the dial and leave it there.

To record again, cover the hole of the tab with adhesive tape.
