High-Quality Images

These digital disk recorders use the industry-standard JPEG Recording format. This Digital recording technology ensures high image quality with no degradation from re-recording or reproduction. Images are clearer and more detailed than ever.
Trouble-Free Media Management
Conventional surveillance recording has been on tape. Tapes have to be changed and filed. Tape heads and other consumables have to be replaced. Digital disk recorders substantially reduce management time and operating expense by eliminating these efforts.
Quick Search and Retrieval
These digital disk recorders are a leap ahead of previous recorders in image speed search and retrieval. With full random access, you do not have to rewind or fast forward images to view scenes.

Flexible Upgrades

Thumbnail Searches

Either 8 or 16 thumbnails can be displayed simultaneously, making it easier to quickly select the frame to be examined. Just click on a thumbnail and it expands to fill the whole screen. By clicking other areas, cameras can also be selected. And by using the jog shuttle, fastforward and rewind can be performed to quickly skip over undesired frames.
Live, Recording, and Playback, All at the Same Time
Triplex surveillance feature
One WJ-HD500 supports up to 16 cameras. With the built-in frameswitching function, images from up to 16 cameras can be viewed simultaneously on a single monitor. Recording and live monitoring can be performed simultaneously. You can playback any image while continuing to record and monitor. The viewing area can be a single window or divided up to sixteen windows.

Until now, recording in different time bands or different locations has required a separate VTR. The WJ-HD500 supports multiple time and location recording, up to four separate groups. Three Recording Modes for Different Purposes
Multi-Shot Mode When responding to an emergency button or sensor, recording starts before the signal is received. This allows examination of the scene before the emergency has begun. Now, the whole incident can be observed, something virtually impossible to do when using conventional recorders. Event Mode Several different cameras record images in response to sensor signal or pre-set timer.

Moire-free Still Images

Use of 3D scan converter techniques eliminates blurring caused by moire in still images. Imagines are digitally corrected one frame at a time. Even in high-tempo, action filled scenes, the details of the still images remain crisp and clear. Current WJ-HD500
To Prevent Data Alternation or Improper Operation
To prevent arbitrary changes in settings or other inappropriate actions, the system can be password protected. Attempts to erase or modify data can also be detected.

Built-in Motion Detector

Recording can be started automatically when the system detects motion in the image being displayed. Recording only scenes in which motion occurs in effect increases the amount of time available for recording.

Multifunction Remote Control (Option)
The WV-CU50 optional Remote Controller allows control of the main unit from a distance. Use of the jog shuttle and other search features is also simplified.

Mirroring Prevents Data Loss
You may add optional hard disks (40GB to 1,040GB - in 40GB increments) for back-up that allows for the use of mirroring to ensure data integrity. If one hard disk should fail, the data will be preserved on the remaining one.
