Super Dynamic II Color Single-Wire VP Camera
WV-CP160
Lens : optional
Introducing Panasonic's WV-CP160. The next generation color camera, using our advanced Super Dynamic II function. The compact WV-CP160 offers a 1/3-type color CCD and newly developed digital signal processing, to deliver a dynamic range 64 times wider than standard CCD cameras. This color camera produces superior images, even in harsh lighting conditions where there are large contrasts between light and dark. Using an F1.4 lens for low light conditions, this highly sensitive camera operates with only 0.8 1x (0.08 fc) of available light, and offers digital enhancement to boost sensitivity up to 32 times. With the WV-CP160, even areas that had been too dark for electronic monitoring, are visible in full-color surveillance. Setting up your surveillance system is a snap: one coaxial cable connects the WV-CP160 to the dedicated Panasonic monitor and Panasonic camera drive unit.
The Panasonic WV-CP160's advanced features make it so simple to provide color surveillance, in a majority of harsh lighting conditions.

Super Dynamic II Color Single-wire VP Camera
The new 21 century secur ity standard.
Innovative Super Dynamic II Technology.
A Dynamic Range 64 times more powerful than conventional cameras.
In 1997 Panasonic developed its new technology "Super Dynamic". This revolutionary technology combines long and short image signals, which provides an output capable of natural reproduction of images even in varying lighting conditions. Now, Panasonic has a newly developed DSP. With image signals at two different speeds, the DSP creates gray-scale image correction that provides optimum images. The newly released Super Dynamic II provides a dynamic range 64 times greater than a conventional video camera by using Double-speed CCD and DSP. The 1/2000 of a second short image signal of the former Super Dynamic camera has been reduced by half to 1/4000 of a second.

Improvements in Image Quality.
As the picture quality of a high contrast image becomes more degraded, due to changes to the exposure-time ratio, improvements are now made to improve the picture quality of the high contrast image.

Short Signal OUT
Long/short independent AGC Circuit.
The Double-speed CCD alternately outputs long and short signals at 1/60 of a second (long) and 1/4000 of a second (short). The Solitary AGC circuit in the original Super Dynamic camera was the major cause of S/N saturation. The Super Dynamic II now provides 2 AGC circuits, providing the most suitable gains for both long and short signals, effectively restricting S/N saturation.
Improvements of contrast collection circuits.
Contrast correction improvements have been made in both long and short signals. This was done in order to secure the display device's dynamic range and also to improve contrast appearance. When changing the bottom-step contrast gain of Super Dynamic II, the OB (standard black level) fluctuates, resulting in having to fix the gain by 100%, causing the picture to float. In order to solve this problem, the new Super Dynamic II provides an ajustable bottom-step gain.

Even more improved sensitivity.
The Super Dynamic II has achieved dramatic improvements with sensitivity, the most important specification when it comes to security cameras. The sensitivity was improved by 12dB, first increasing by 7dB through averaging the image signals with cyclic digital noise reduction, and then another 5 dB by reassessing the circuit tester gain. As a result, in comparison with conventional cameras, more natural imaging is possible even in dark environments. With the F1.4 lens, the 3 lx sensitivity of the former Super Dynamic has been improved to 1 lx (when comparing the WV-CS654 and WV-CS854 in color mode).

New capturing technology combining dynamic range and high sensitivity, using Super Dynamic II.
Easily handles light differential. Moving a step closer to the human eye.
Improving on Super Dynamic technology, this product has 64 times dynamic range wider than that of standard CCD cameras. The WV-CS854 has the ability to view images clearly, even when the scene includes both direct sunlight and dark shade. Enjoy natural images, even when viewing fluctuating light levels, such as a window or entranceway.

Easily Installation to the Ceiling.
First, attach the base kit to the location under which the WV-CS854 is to be placed. Then, insert the camera body into the unit and turn. The unit and the camera body are securely fixed with a single screw, allowing for match easier installation. With safety wires provided, there is no need to worry about accidental drops.
The unit feature a 22x zoom lens and 10x electronic zoom function. Hold down the zoom button on the controller and the electronic zoom will be activated, allowing you to zoom in up to 220x. The revolving unit can turn as slowly as 0.1 per second, or the rotation can be speed up by zoom ratio. Easy control under close-up zoom conditions.
Set the aperture to the bright section, and the dark section is invisible.
The Unique Optical Video Signal Transfer Slip Ring system is the Key to Stable Operation.
Image signals between the rotating section and the main section are transmitted by optical transfer type. Because no sections come into contact with each other, there is no deterioration in signal, providing you with long-term, stable, high-quality images.
Photograph is taken for purpose of explanation. Set the aperture to the dark section, and the bright section is invisible. Digital signal technology allows images with high contrast to be seen on screen.
Featuring a newly developed 1/4-type, Double speed CCD and Super Dynamic II DSP.
Images are synthesized to an appropriate level using image processing DSP, arranging two image signals taken at shutter speeds of 1/60 sec. and 1/4000 sec., using the Double speed CCD. Images with even the highest level of contrast are no match for the WV-CS854.

The new digital noise reduction method and the improvement of the gain circuit increased the sensitivity by as much as 12db. It requires a minimum illumination of 1 lx in color mode, allowing you to monitor dimly lit sites in color, such as underground parking lots.
24-Hour Monitoring by Switching between Color and B/W Modes.
In order to keep providing monitored images even when it becomes dark, the WV-CS854 automatically senses darkness around it and switches to B/W mode. It provides 570 lines of horizontal resolution in B/W mode, increased from 480 lines in color mode, allowing you to clearly see B/W images of a site with illumination as low as moonlight. You can also manually switch between color and B/W modes.
When light levels reduce, the WV-CS854 automatically changes to black and white mode so that you can monitor for 24 hours with minimum of 0.06lx illumination.

Generally speaking, Incombustible materials such as Styrofoam are usually used to protect products from vibration and impact due to dropping during the delivery. However, Panasonic devised new technology that securely stabilizes products with only corrugated cardboard and minimized polyurethane films. Panasonics aim is to "Be Friendly to the Earth".

Easily handles light differential. With 64 times dynamic range it is one step closer to that of the human eye.
Improving on the Super Dynamic method, this product has a dynamic range 64 times greater than that of standard CCD cameras. WV-CP460 series has the ability to show images clearly, even when the scene includes direct sunlight and dark shade. Enjoy natural looking images, even in places of fluctuating light levels, such as a window.
Minimum Illumination 0.8lx.
In addition, the 32x electronic sensitivity enhancement function keeps color images even in darkness. *In use of F1.4
