With the Parrot RHYTHM N'BLUE, drivers can listen to CDs, a radio station or even their own MP3 recording plus make and receive phone calls. And thanks to its superb design and backlit buttons, the use of these features quickly becomes second nature. Seven backlight colors are available. The keypad controls phone dialing and messaging functions, and provides preset radio station selection.
Access your phonebook directly from your car stereo
Synchronizing your mobile phone phonebook with the car stereo memory allows for easy access to your contacts. When an incoming call is received, the caller's name is displayed. Numbers may be dialed manually or hands-free using the voice recognition feature; the driver says a name and the number is automatically dialed.

Upgrade procedure of the RHYTHM NBLUE via Bluetooth
This document will help you in order to upgrade your Handsfree car kit over Bluetooth. Car kit upgrade is needed in order to add new phones compatibles, and new functionalities. You will find hereunder two different possibilities to upgrade over Bluetooth the Parrot Rhythm nBlue. Software upgrade removes paired phones, synchronized contacts and voice tags.

1 Downloading the upgrade files

Before you begin:

Download and install the Parrot Flash Update Wizard program available on our web site www.parrot.com then choose SUPPORT and DOWNLOAD.
1. Start the Parrot Flash Update Wizard program. The following dialog box is displayed.
2. Click Next. A list of car kits is displayed. 3. Select Rhythm nblue in the list and click Next. The following dialog box is displayed.
4. Click on Download Latest version. The Download Software Update dialog box is displayed.
5. Click on Download Now and wait until the end of the download. The downloaded files will be stored in C:\Program Files\Parrot Flash Update Wizard\Internet Files. 6. Once the download is finished, click Next. 7. Choose the languages you need and click Next. You have the possibility to install several languages on your Rhythm nblue.

8. Select your country.

Selecting your country is a very important step: it will allow the Rhythm nblue to adjust the tuner frequencies.
Your laptop is now ready to upgrade the car radio. All files are available on your laptop.
2 Updating your car kit with a PC equipped with Windows XP Service Pack 2
Make sure that your Bluetooth is activated, and that your Bluetooth dongle connected (if needed).
The following menu appears, asking you to choose the way of upgrading. If your laptop is equipped with Windows XP Service Pack 2, the menu Bluetooth connection is available. In this case, you are using the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack. 1. Select Bluetooth connection.

2. Click Search Devices.

3. On the Rhythm nblue, from the car kits display, navigate through the following menu: Menu > Bluetooth > Settings > Advanced Settings > Software update > Activate.
4. Select the Rhythm nBlue once the search is over and click Next.
5. Click on the pop-up to authorize the connexion between the devices.
6. Enter the PIN key 1234 and click Next.
The upgrade begins and the car kit displays the message Please Wait.
7. At the end of the updating process, click on Finish.
3 Updating your car kit with a PC not equipped with Windows XP Service Pack 2
(Tested with a Belkin dongle and a Broadcom Bluetooth stack)
If your laptop is not equipped with Windows XP Service Pack 2, the Bluetooth connection option is not available. 1. Select the Bluetooth virtual serial connection option.
2. On your Laptop, right-click on the Bluetooth icon and select Add a new Bluetooth device.
The Bluetooth search begins.
3. Select the Rhythm nBlue and click Next. 4. Choose to enter your own Pin code, and enter 1234
5. On the Rhythm nblue, from the car kits display, navigate through the following menu: Menu > Bluetooth > Settings > Advanced Settings > Software update > Activate. 6. Display the list of the Bluetooth devices.

7. Select the Parrot Rhythm nBlue and choose Properties.
8. Display the Services and remember the com port Number displayed
9. Enter your Com port number and click Next.

The upgrade begins.

10. Wait until the end of the upgrade process and click on Finish.
Wait for the automatic reboot of the kit. Do not stop the power source!
This operation can take few minutes.
Check the Information menu in order to compare the flashed version with the latest one available on our web site.
