Remote software upgrading The TV software that controls hotel-specific features can be upgraded remotely through a certified system provider. Integrated SmartCard Slot The integrated SmartCard slot allows third parties to add new functionality to the TV through application cards, without the need for additional boxes and external connections. The TV can also be connected to external decoders and set-top boxes of all major interactive system providers, through the SerialXpress Control Interface (supporting UART and RS232 protocols) and the SmartPlug Control interface. Digital Crystal Clear Digital Crystal Clear is a processing technology that digitally adjusts and enhances picture quality by optimizing contrast, color and sharpness levels, resulting in more vivid cinema-like images. Integrated clock display The built-in clock display, which is also a wakeup alarm, eliminates the need and investment for an additional clock with cables and connections in the room. Swivel stand This LCD TV comes with a swivel stand that allows your guests to adjust the TV so that they can watch TV from any position in the room. The stand can be secured to a table or furniture to provide additional security against theft. Wireless SmartLoader Provides the ability to copy easy and wireless all programmming settings from one TV set into other TV sets in less then a minute. The feature ensures uniformity between TV sets and significantly reduces installation time and costs. Installation menu locking Prevents unauthorized access to installation and configuration settings, to ensure maximum guest convenience and avoid unnecessary reprogramming costs. External loudsp & power supply The TV is equipped with an amplified audio connector for easy installation of external speakers (like for bathrooms), eliminating the need for investments in external equipment. The extra integrated power supply avoids the need for a separate power supply for an interactive system. In case of stand-alone use, the additional power supply can be switched off to save energy. SmartPower The backlight intensity can be controlled and pre-set by the system to reduce the power consumption by up to 50%, which saves substantially on energy costs. Eco-friendly design Sustainability is integral to the way Philips does business. Philips TVs are designed and produced according to our EcoDesign principles aimed at minimizing overall environmental impact, through lower power consumption, removal of hazardous substances, lower weight, more efficient packaging and better recyclability. Philips TVs also have a special housing of flame retardant material. Independent tests carried out by emergency fire services have shown that whereas TVs can sometimes intensify fires caused by external sources, Philips TVs will not contribute to the fire.
