Pixel Plus 2 HD Pixel Plus 2 HD offers the unique combination of ultimate sharpness, natural detail, increased depth, vivid colors and smooth and natural motion from standard TV, High Definition signals and multimedia sources. Each pixel of the incoming picture is enhanced to better match the surrounding pixels, resulting in a more natural picture. Artifacts in compressed multimedia content are detected and reduced, ensuring that the picture is clean and razor sharp. Digital noise reduction ensures that the picture is perfectly smooth yet razor sharp. Ambilight 2 channel Ambilight makes an impressive contribution to the overall viewing experience by producing ambient light to complement the colors and light intensity of the on-screen image. It adds a new dimension to the viewing experience, completely immersing you into the content you are watching. It creates ambiance, stimulates more relaxed viewing, and improves perceived picture detail, contrast and color. Ambilight automatically and independently adapts its colors according to the changing content on the screen. Digital Natural Motion Philips invented Digital Natural Motion to eliminate juddering effects that are visible with moving picture content. Digital Natural Motion estimates motion in the picture and corrects juddering movements in both broadcast and recorded movie material (such as DVD). The resulting smooth motion reproduction and excellent sharpness take the viewing experience to a higher level. Incredible Surround subwoofer Incredible Surround is an audio technology from Philips that dramatically magnifies the sound field to immerse you in the audio. Using state-of-the-art electronic phase shifting, Incredible Surround mixes sounds from left and right in such a way that it expands the virtual distance between the two speakers. This wider spread greatly enhances the stereo effect and creates a more natural sound dimension. Incredible Surround with integrated subwoofer now allows you to experience total surround with greater depth and bass ,width of sound with the use of an integrated subwoofer. BBE BBE high definition sound is the core sound enhancement technology (licensed by BBE Sound) that will enable you to experience real natural music, speech intelligibility with rich and clear audible vocals. 3 HDMI inputs HDMI makes an uncompressed digital RGB connection from the source to the screen. By eliminating conversion to an analog signal, it delivers an unblemished image. The nondegraded signal reduces flicker and leads to a clearer picture. HDMI intelligently communicates the highest output resolution with the source device. The HDMI input is fully backward compatible with DVI sources but includes digital audio. HDMI uses HDCP copy protection. With 3 HDMI inputs you can connect multiple HD sources, for instance an HD settop box, and a Blu-ray player. Your TV is fully prepared for the HD future.
