The Philips audio system comes with two alarm times. Set one alarm time to wake you up and the other to wake up your partner.

To counter oversleeping, the Philips Clock radio has a snooze feature. Should the alarm ring and you wish to continue sleeping a bit longer, simply press the Repeat Alarm button once and go back to sleep. Nine minutes later the alarm will ring again. You can continue to press the Repeat Alarm button every nine minutes until you turn off the alarm altogether.

Sleep Timer

Sleep timer lets you decide how long you want to listen to music or a radio station of your choice before falling asleep. Simply set a time limit (up to 1 hour) and choose a CD or radio station to listen to while you drift off to sleep. The set will continue to play for the selected duration and then automatically switch off to a power-efficient, silent stand-by mode. Sleep Timer lets you fall asleep to your favorite CD or radio DJ without counting sheep or worrying about wasting power.

Step A

Connect the supplied mains adapter to the sets 9V DC jack and the plug into a wall outlet.
1. Press POWER to switch on from standby. 2. Press SOURCE to select TUNER. 3. Press and hold PROGRAM/ SET TIME to program all available stations. 4. Press PRESET until the desired preset station is displayed.
Step B How to set the Clock time
1. In standby mode, press and hold PROGRAM/ SET TIME until the time digits flash. 2. Press and hold HOUR/MIN to adjust time. 3. Press PROGRAM/ SET TIME to confirm.

CD playback

This CD clock radio can play audio discs including CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3. 1. Press POWER to switch on from standby. 2. Press SOURCE to select CD. 3. Lift the CD door to open. 4. Insert a CD with the printed side facing up, and close the CD door. 5. Press to ); start playback.
Step C How to set the Alarm mode and Alarm time
1. In standby mode, press AL1 or AL2 once or more to select alarm mode (radio mode, CD mode or buzzer mode). 2. Press and hold HOUR/MIN to adjust time. 3. Press PROGRAM/ SET TIME to confirm.

If you have selected RADIO, make sure you have properly tuned to a station before turning off the set.
