USB Direct for MP3/WMA music Simply plug in your device to the USB port on your Philips Hi-Fi system. Your digital music will be played directly from the device. Now you can share your favorite moments with family and friends. Digital tuning with presets Simply tune into the station that you want to preset, press and hold the preset button to memorize the frequency. With preset radio stations that can be stored, you can quickly access your favorite radio station without having to manually tune the frequencies each time. Wake up to CD, Radio or buzzer Wake up to CD, Radio tune or a buzzer Repeat alarm To counter oversleeping, the Philips Clock radio has a snooze feature. Should the alarm ring and you wish to continue sleeping a bit longer, simply press the Repeat Alarm button once and go back to sleep. Nine minutes later the alarm will ring again. You can continue to press the Repeat Alarm button every nine minutes until you turn off the alarm altogether. Dual alarm time The Philips audio system comes with two alarm times. Set one alarm time to wake you up and the other to wake up your partner. Sleep Timer Sleep timer lets you decide how long you want to listen to music or a radio station of your choice before falling asleep. Simply set a time limit (up to 1 hour) and choose a CD or radio station to listen to while you drift off to sleep. The set will continue to play for the selected duration and then automatically switch off to a power-efficient, silent stand-by mode. Sleep Timer lets you fall asleep to your favorite CD or radio DJ without counting sheep or worrying about wasting power.

Connect the supplied mains adapter to the sets 9V DC jack and the plug into a wall outlet.

6 Playing a disc

This CD clock radio can play audio discs including CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3. a. Press POWER to switch on from standby. b. Press SOURCE to select CD. c. Lift the CD door to open. d. Insert a CD with the printed side facing up, and close the CD door. e. Press ); to start playback.

2 Setting the Clock

a. In standby mode, press PROGRAM/ SET TIME. b. Press and hold HOUR/MIN to adjust time. c. Press PROGRAM/ SET TIME to confirm.
3 Setting alarm time and mode
a. In standby mode, press AL1 or AL2. b. Press and hold HOUR/MIN to adjust time. c. Press AL1/AL2 again, and then press SOURCE to select alarm mode. d. Press corresponding AL1/AL2 to confirm the setting.

7 Playing a USB device

a. Press POWER to switch on from standby. b. Press SOURCE to enter USB mode if USB is NOT displayed. c. Plug a compatible USB mass storage device to. AJM180s USB port marked d. Press ); on your AJM180 to start playback.

Helpful hints:

If you have selected RADIO, make sure you have properly tuned to a station before turning off the set.
4 Switching off the alarm
Either press briefly: AL1/AL2/POWER or REPEAT ALARM.

5 Listening to the Radio

a. Press POWER to switch on from standby. b. Press SOURCE to select TUNER. c. Press and hold PROGRAM/ SET TIME to program all available stations. d. Press PRESET/ALBUM 34 until the desired preset station is displayed.
