IN THE IRON GRIP OF A COMMITTED SOCIALIST
If you are dying of lung cancer and are a one pack-a-day smoker, will any responsible physician prescribe smoking four packs? How about if you are an alcoholic, will any doctor order you to quadruple your consumption of alcohol? No responsible doctor would ever do that. Why, then, if our federal and state governments have spent us into bankruptcy is our President Obama prescribing more of the same out-of-control spending into the foreseable future? Most of us have spent our lives listening to the arguments over federal spending. Spending is always referred to as excessive. Former President George W. Bush started breaking the bank during his last two years, but his deficits (which are not defensible) were in the $100 billion range. Obama now proposes to borrow a dollar for every dollar received by the federal government in taxes. He promises TRILLION dollar deficits forever. This has been tried over and over again, but the national leaders who did this had or have names like Peron and Chavez or Allende. Why is our president copying the break the bank policies of third world strong men who have uniformly destroyed their own countries? They always destroy their economies, destroy the value of their currencies, throw people out of work, destroy the value of the people's savings and assets, and wreck their countries. This is ALWAYS the result. It has never turned out any other way. It is happening to us, now. Either President Obama is simply mistaken or he is doing this on purpose. We believe he is a brilliant man who knows exactly what he wants to do, and is doing it. Whether the money comes entirely from taxes or from taxes and borrowing, he knows he is consuming vast amounts of the nation's wealth. He is not doing this inadvertently. He and his advisors know that the federal government will confiscate all available liquidity. They know that spending trillions more than we take in, year after year, will destroy the private sector and thus, the nation. And where is the money going? No one really knows, but at a minimum much of it seems headed back to states to pay their own deficits. It's a borrowing party with no one left to pay the bills. This is not accidental. Mr. Obama promised change and that is what he is doing. He promised a massive takeover of the American private sector and he is doing it. He promised his union supporters that they will be taken care of, and he is making good on that promise. The fact there will be no one left to earn a living, grow a business, buy a house or pay taxes except government-supported workers has no meaning to him. After the stunning election in Massachusetts, he has not pulled back nor toned down his objectives. He is going full speed ahead. Whatever he may be accused of doing, he cannot be accused of misleading any of us. He is rocketing us toward federal intervention and control of nearly every aspect of our lives. He is accomplishing this through regulations, taxes, penalties and borrowing. Those are his sticks. His carrots are federal programs to lend us our own money back to pay for things we need like homes and cars and education. It is the iron grip of a committed socialist, and the grip is tightening.
