Listen to new messages recorded on answering machine (applicable to CD145 only)
Press Press Press Press on the base station to turn on the answering machine, the LED is turned on again to turn off the answering machine, the LED is turned off on the base station, playback of the oldest new message will begin to skip the current message and play the next message

Troubleshooting

Problem No dialing tone
For more information, see the user manual that came with your CD140 or CD145. Solution Check the connections Charge the batteries for at least 24 hours Use the line cable provided Poor audio quality Move closer to the base station Move the base station at least one metre away from any electrical appliances The icon is blinking Register the handset to the base station Move closer to the base station The handset LCD displays nothing Try again by disconnecting and connecting the base station power supply and follow the procedure to register a handset Make sure the two supplied rechargeable batteries have been inserted into the battery compartment Make sure the supplied batteries are charged up Caller Line Identication Check your subscription with your (CLI) service does not work network operator

Store a number in the phonebook
The line adaptor may not be attached to the line cord. You may nd the line adaptor in the box. In this case, you have to connect the line adaptor to the line cord rst before plugging the line cord to the line socket. In multihandset packs, you will nd one or more additional handsets, chargers with power supply units and additional rechargeable batteries. 1. Press 2. Press 3. Press and memory number 0 is shown repeatedly to select another memory number from 0 through 19 to erase

Congure your phone

1. Press and the available country code blinks. 2. Press repeatedly to scroll to your desired country code. (See Country setting table) 3. Press and your phone is congured according to your selected country code.
4. Enter the phone number. If you enter the number wrongly, press a digit 5. Press to save the number
