DVR2008 Firmware Upgrade

Firmware Upgrade We have developed a firmware upgrade (3.11.0/93) to improve your product. This upgrade is applicable for the following models:

Upgrade Procedure Step 1 Check your current version
First check your current firmware version to see if you need to upgrade: 1. Press the [HOME] button to open the home page. 2. Select [Settings] page and press OK. 3. Navigate to the System tab to read the firmware version.
Step 2 Download Firmware upgrade

Step 3 Apply upgrade to your DVR2008
1. 2. 3. Unzip the downloaded ZIP file (i.e. DVR2008_93.zip): After unzip, it will create a directory named 93_3110_081218 Go inside the directory and copy all the five files inside on to your USB device root directory (Do not rename any of the filename) 4. 5. 6. 7. Unplug the power cable from the mains. Plug in the USB device into the USB socket in the front panel. Hold the Power button on the front panel and then plug in the power cable. Hold the button till the installation window appears on the TV screen (approximate 15 seconds) and then release it. If there is an activity LED on the USB device, it should flash now.
CAUTION: Selecting Confirm will delete all users data including recordings, users setting and media files kept in the HDD drive. a. If you do not want to preserve users data in the built-in HDD, select Confirm and press OK to format the built-in HDD in the unit. Then it changes to the HDD partition distribution window. Use left and right buttons on the remote control to adjust the distribution of Media Files and the Recording partition and press OK. The progress bar will display the progress of installation. After the installation, the initial setup will begin. Please follow the instruction on screen to setup the options including Menu Language, Tuner Mode, TV Shape, Auto Scan and the Clock. After the last step, it will prompt that the setup is completed and then return to the home page after a few seconds later. b. If you want to preserve users data in the built-in HDD, select Cancel and press OK to skip the HDD formatting. Then the progress bar will display the progress of installation.
Note: Please check to ensure that your USB device can be detected by the recorder before trying to upgrade the firmware using this method.
Note: Please use a FLASH based USB device. The startup time for HDD based USB device is too slow and cannot be used for firmware upgrade.
