It shows subtle shades and smoother graduation of colors, resulting in a more vibrant and natural picture. The limitation of the usual 10bit DAC become in particular apparent while using large screens and projectors. Progressive Scan Progressive Scan doubles the vertical resolution of the image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture. Instead of sending a field comprising the odd lines to the screen first, followed by the field with the even lines, both fields are written at one time. A full image is created instantaneously, using the maximum resolution. At such a speed, your eye perceives a sharper picture with no line structure. Ribbon Tweeter in Micro System The Neodymium Ribbon Tweeter is a monopole tweeter that produces dynamic and crisp sound from the front. It is a feature commonly used in high-end audio systems to reproduce sound with excellent fidelity. Conventional cones and dome tweeters are based on a directional moving coil principle whereas the monopole Neodymium Ribbon Tweeter radiates high frequencies in a full 180degree radiation pattern. This dramatically increases the width of the sound spectrum in the higher tones and expands the sweet spot zone to deliver wide, crystalclear, and natural sound even from compact audio systems. Real rosewood speaker box The speaker enclosure is made of the real, natural rosewood. Its stiffness and density are both excellent acoustic damping properties for perfect quality sound reproduction. Part of the manufacturing process involves hand-making to ensure a super quality finish. Gold-plated speaker connector The Gold-plated speaker connector ensures better audio signal transmission compared to traditional click-fit connections. It also minimizes the electrical signal loss from the amplifier to the speaker box, resulting in sound reproduction that's as close to reality as possible. High-end component design The component-designed DVD micro system comes with a stand that features four triangular feet. It can prevent any audio frequency distortion due to vibration, overheating and electromagnetic interference generated from the amplifier and DVD loader. The result is smooth and excellent and sound reproduction. High quality remote Control The remote control is a perfect balance of dimensions and weight. Sleek and ergonomically designed, the bottom cover of remote control features a soft rubberpaint finish to ensure comfort in usage.

1 Connect the speakers to the SPEAKERS (8ohm) terminals with two speaker cables. Right speaker to "R" and
left speaker to "L", red wire to "+" and silver wire to "".
2 For radio reception, connect the supplied MW loop antenna wires to the AM AERIAL jack.
It is unnecessary to connect the FM pigtail antenna since it is fixed to the main unit.
3 Connect the serial port marked CONTROL CABLE at the rear of the DVD player to the same port at the
rear of the power amplifier with the supplied control cable. the OUTPUT 4 Connect videoVIDEO(yellow). jack at the rear of the DVD player to the video input jack on the TV using the supplied cable

5 Connect the power cord of the DVD system to the AC power outlet.

Setting up the TV

1 Press STANDBY ONB on the front panel of the DVD player or B on the remote to switch the DVD system
on and then select the disc source.

2 Switch on the TV set and set to the correct video-in channel until the blue Philips DVD background screen

appears on the TV.

Setting TV type and preferences
1 Press SYSTEM on the remote to enter the system menu. 2 Press on the remote to enter the 'Preference Page'. Then, select the color 3 Press on the remote to enter the 'General Setup Page' and select the
preferred OSD language using and OK on the remote. system matching your TV and the preferred audio, subtitle and disc menu languages using and OK on the remote.
You can enter the 'Preference Page' in full stop mode only.

Loading a disc

1 Select the disc source, then press OPENCLOSE at the top of the DVD player or 0 on the remote.
2 Load in a DVD disc with the label side facing up. 3 A disc menu pops up.

Playback

1 Use and OK or Numeric Keypad (0-9) on the remote to select a playback feature or item.
Refer to the User Manual for playback of other types of discs.
2 Press PRESET/ (or on the remote) to start playback.
