POSTAL CODE SEARCH
Simply type in the first letters of the street/city you need to go to and list of matching streets/cities will appear instantly. Choose the one you want and chart your journey to get there. You can even input the house number for more accurate guidance.
Typing in a postcode is an easy way to help you find a location. The system recognises thousands of postal codes right across Europe and can easily navigate you safely to your end destination. This is particularly useful in Great Britain where postal codes indicate whole or part of a street or even an individual house. > POINT OF INTEREST (POI) SEARCH Pioneers AVIC-X1 will take you to a gourmet restaurant for dinner, accompany you to a game of golf or find you a petrol station before you run out of fuel. With more than 1.3 million Points of Interest divided into 65 categories and subcategories, you can easily locate the nearest gas station, a local golf course or restaurant to match your appetite, no matter what food you are in the mood for. Simply type in what you are looking for or scroll the map with gas station logos and convenient pictograms. The AVIC-X1 will guide you right to the doorstep.

You can make the map your own by registering and attaching icons to up to 300 destinations. Whenever you are in the area, they will always be visible on the map. To visit any of them again, just touch the icon on the screen and AVIC-X1 will chart your journey for you.

ROUTEING

Once you have selected your destination, the AVIC-X1 offers a choice of up to six possible routes to get you there. Its up to you the way you want to go. You can opt to avoid motorways, ferries or toll roads. You can choose the shortest distance or take the fastest route time-wise. No matter which way you choose, the AVIC-X1 will always be on hand to guide you and get you to your destination.

Youre ready to set off. How do you want to view your route? Again, the choice is yours. The AVIC-X1 offers up to seven different guidance modes including four navigation modes, two combination modes and the Vehicle Dynamics mode.

The AVIC-X1 proposes two split screen possibilities. You can keep an eye on the road behind as well as your route ahead by choosing the rear view option combined with the navi map*. Or keep track of what youre listening with the combined audio status and navi map. By simply touching the view button, you can instantly switch to the view you want.

Want to stay informed of your cars performance in real time? Switch to the unique Vehicle Dynamics mode and discover your lateral G-force, acceleration, angular velocity, current speed, slope angle, compass, clock and battery voltage.
Never miss a turn again thanks to the AVIC-X1s intersection zoom. When you near any junction, it will automatically show you a birds eye view of that junction, highlighting the exact route you need to take. Combined with precise voice commands, you will take the right turn every time.

Thanks to the units built-in Memory Navi, you can navigate comfortably in the drivers seat whilst listening to a CD or entertaining rear seat passengers with a DVD movie on optional rear screens, all using the same unit. > Select your European destination and decide on your route. The map data for a corridor of 10 km around your route will be automatically downloaded into the AVIC-X1s memory, no user intervention necessary. You can already start and be guided on your journey whilst the data continues to download. Once the download is complete, simply take the DVD map disc out and insert a CD, MP3 CD or DVD-Video. > Whilst your passengers break open the popcorn, you still have full guidance instructions and a full selection of guidance modes on the navigation screen. The system can also reroute you back to your original path in the event you decide to leave the calculated route. You can load your home area on a 15 km x 15 km scale to the memory, consult an entire map of Europe and be alerted of possible traffic problems en route (in the country where the DVD map disc was last loaded). > If your journey is very long, the system may request that you re-insert the DVD map disc to download an extra stretch of map data. By that time, you will have listened to four of your favourite CDs or your passengers will have enjoyed two full DVD movies.

The D4Q Digital FM/AM tuner provides constant and clear radio reception even under the most demanding of reception conditions. You can even use your current steering wheel control to manage the units audio features as Pioneer has ensured that the AVIC-X1 is wired remote control ready. MP3 File List display The AVIC-X1 is certainly up with the times. Not only can it read and play MP3 files recorded on CD-R/CD-RW discs, but it can also display a convenient MP3 File or CD Track List on-screen, with ID3 Tag or CD Text enabled discs. To select an RDS radio station from your list of presets, all you need to do is touch the radio station name on the display.
To avoid temptation for potential thieves, the AVIC-X1s motorised screen folds neatly away into the dashboard, leaving simply a 10 digit sub-display panel visible. It looks just like any car radio. The bottom part of the panel can even be removed for total security of your system.

Pairing Procedure Before starting the pairing on this unit, make sure to active Bluetooth on the phone as described in the phone specific instructions in this manual and then follow the steps below. To initiate the pairing from the Pioneer AVIC-HD1BT, AVIC-HD3BT, do the following: Long press [MENU] on AVIC-HD1BT, AVIC-HD3BT to activate the phone menu and press [Phone Settings] [Registration] [Navi] Select Your Phone from the list. The Default Password to be typed on the phone is [1111], but you can edit this in the AVIC-HD1BT, AVIC-HD3BT menu. To initiate the pairing from the phone, do the following: Long press [MENU] on AVIC-HD1BT, AVIC-HD3BT to activate the phone menu and press [Phone Settings] [Registration] [Phone]. Then proceed with the Pairing procedure described in the phone specific instructions in this manual. The Default Password to be typed on the phone is [1111], but you can edit this in the AVIC-HD1BT, AVIC-HD3BT menu.
Phonebook Transfer Procedure Before sending phone book entries from the phone, make sure to activate the [READ BUS. CARD] feature on the Pioneer AVIC-HD1BT, AVIC-HD3BT as follows: Long press [MENU] on AVIC-HD1BT, AVIC-HD3BT to activate the phone menu and press [Phone Settings] [Registration][Read Bus. Card]. Select either [Yes] or [No] to the question [Do you want to erase the phone book before receiving business cards] and send the Phone book entries from your mobile phone. After activating the [Read Business Card] function, the Pioneer Unit will show "xxxx was disconnected" this is normal.
Voice Tags on AVIC-HD1BT, AVIC-HD3BT: AVIC-HD1BT, AVIC-HD3BT features an advanced Speech Recognition engine and does not make use of the voice tags stored in the phone.

To initiate the pairing procedure from the AVIC-X1BT, AVIC-X3BT, AVIC-D3BT, CD-BTB200 (**), perform the following steps: Press [TEL] on AVIC-X1BT, AVIC-X3BT, AVIC-D3BT, CD-BTB200 (**) / to activate the phone menu and press [A.MENU][FUNCTION TEL][PHONE CONNECT][SEARCH] Select the phone model number. Password to be typed on the phone is [0000] You need to Register the Phone after connecting by pressing [BACK] and [Phone register] and a long press on the preferred phone preset key. Now perform the pairing procedure on the mobile phone as explained in the phone specific instructions of this manual. Password to be typed on the phone is [0000] You need to Register the Phone after connecting by pressing [BACK] and [Phone register] and a long press on the preferred phone preset key.

Phonebook Transfer Procedure Before sending phone book entries from the phone, make sure to activate the [PHONEBOOK TRANSFER] feature on the Pioneer AVIC-X1BT, AVIC-X3BT, AVIC-D3BT, CD-BTB200 (**) / as follows: Press [TEL] on AVIC-X1BT, AVIC-X3BT, AVIC-D3BT, CD-BTB200 (**) / to activate the phone menu and press [A.MENU][PONEBOOK TRANSFER]. The AVIC-X1BT, AVIC-X3BT, AVIC-D3BT, CD-BTB200 (**) / is now ready to receive the phone book contacts. Now use your mobile phone to transfer the contacts to the AVIC-X1BT, AVIC-X3BT, AVIC-D3BT, CDBTB200 (**).

Transfer appears in the display. After activating it, the Pioneer Unit will show "xxxx was disconnected" this is normal. 3 Use cellular phone to perform phone book transfer. You can register up to 5 phones on this car radio, all of which will have separate telephone book space. Select [Phone 1] for example and push the Multi Controller twice to the right (register) and push the Multi Controller up. Searching will Flash.
