Pioneer's XDV-P9 multi-DVD player ultimately offers you an in-car choice between six different movies more choice than you'd ever get with a business-class airline ticket. DVD can be operated with separate remote controls so that backseat passengers don't have to use the main control system. And they can connect headphones (with optional CD-VS33) so their movies don't interfere with your music or radio programming. Multi-DVD can stand alone, but when it's connected to a 5.1 multi-channel surround system, it offers a true cinematic sound experience. In addition to playing DVD, the XDV-P9 can handle standard (video-) CDs as well. Your choice. A word of warning though: cliffhanger classics may make backseat passengers unwilling to get out of the car when you've reached the final destination!
TV AND GAMES CROWD PLEASERS
When you're on the road with the GEX-P7000TVP hideaway TV tuner, your travelling companions don't have to miss even one episode of their favourite programs. The tuner can be preset for up to 24 channels. The "game-boys" won't be left twiddling their thumbs either. Hook up a game device to the AV System Master or the AV Selector and they can get their thrills on the backseat display. Just what you'd expect from Pioneer: flexibility, expandability and unlimited entertainment.
DIGITAL RADIO NO NOISE, NO STATIC, NO INTERFERENCE DIGITAL RADIO
DAB radio programmes are transmitted in a fundamentally different way than FM. Several different programmes are combined into one block, known as an ensemble or multiplex. One ensemble can contain six or more principal programmes as well as associated text and data services. The ensemble is created using a multiplexing technology called COFDM, which spreads the data from one station over a wide frequency range before transmission, and recombines it in the receiver. This process eliminates the typical radio interference that plagues FM broadcasting. Plus, broadcasters now have more flexibility in programming and the listener has more choice. Interference-free reception combined with near-CD quality audio means that with DAB you can enjoy uninterrupted, crystal clear audio, even in a mobile environment.

Found in the DEH-P9300R CD/RDS tuner, the Soft Key Concept, new ergonomic user interface and brilliant 256 x 80 pixel OEL display make operation super easy. Button assignments change according to the source or function engaged. So all the buttons you need are right there before your eyes on the display, at the touch of a fingertip no hassling with navigating through a complicated series of buttons. You can access the function you need directly, with one touch. Some functions are also accessible via the remote controllers cross-key.

The crossover network fulfills the vital function of providing only the correct frequency bands to each speaker, optimizing the performance of each component. Pioneers highly adaptable crossover network, available on the PRS-X340 AND GM-X944, offers a multitude of configuration possibilities. Rather than just offering high pass or low pass filtering, this network offers bandpass capability to effectively drive the midrange woofers. The high pass filters can also be set to high-mode (3-9 kHz), for driving the tweeters, while the low pass filters arent limited to the bass frequencies, they can also be set to high-mode, with a cut-off frequency of 3-9 kHz. In short, Pioneers crossover network gives you the flexibility to configure the system as you want it, not restricted by the limitations of the amplifier, or the need to add an external crossover unit
POWER SERIES THE ULTIMATE AMPLIFIER
MOSFET Output Section Pioneer MOSFET output devices, incorporated in all Power Series amplifiers, offer significant advantages over traditional bipolar devices. Faster switching results in less crossover distortion and less noise. Reversible Endcaps The chromed endcaps are reversible for more versatility in installation, and they hide the wiring for a clean installed look. Its easy to reverse the Pioneer logo badge. First remove the endcap and flip over. Remove the retaining screw for the badge, then flip the badge around. Replace the retaining screw securely and reattach the endcap.

All Pioneer amplifiers have an Input Level Control, which is adjustable over 6.5 volts of input signal. This means that all Pioneer amplifiers can take signals from Hi-Volt headunits or line drivers, without any clipping.

Full-Logic cassette decks feature feather-touch, electronic control buttons that make cassette operation easier. A "Logic" system ensures that when you press "forward", the deck will always move forward, regardless of which side of the tape is currently playing. While metal and chrome tapes have vastly improved frequency response and signal-to-noise ratio performance, they require different equalisation compared to standard bias tapes. Pioneer units feature either an "Auto Metal" capability - which automatically engages the appropriate equalisation for proper playback - or a manual Metal button. Either feature provides optimum playback equalisation on metal, chrome (70s) and normal (120s) cassette tape formulations.

Auto EQ tailors specific musical characteristics to your taste, according to your car's acoustics. The Auto EQ system uses a microphone to monitor and analyse acoustics inside the car, then applies automatic fine-tuning across the entire range of the music's frequency bandwidths using digital 13-band graphic equalisation for front and rear speakers. Pioneer has incorporated the BBE technology into their DEH-P9300R and FH-P4000R for a pure, natural sound. BBE adds a longer delay time to the lower frequencies and slightly boosts the high range, which tends to become attenuated, so that it recovers its natural articulation. And, BBE dynamically controls the amplitude relationship between the mid and high band areas. This, in combination with the phase compensation feature, restores the brilliance and clarity of the original sound.

PNS (Pulse Noise Suppressor)

Music Search

"Pulse Noise" is unwanted noise generated by electrical motors. It can come from your car's engine or even someone else's through your car's antenna. PNS provides a cleaner sound by reducing noise that interferes with the FM signal.
Locates the beginning of the next song for fast forward or the beginning of the present song on rewind.

Radio Text

By pressing the Radio Text button, text messages sent as RDS data are received. These messages scroll across the screen for convenient viewing, and can be stored in memory for review. The standard connection system to carry sound from a headunit to an amplifier or equaliser. RCA preouts provide easy output for connection to an outboard amplifier. The dedicated subwoofer output lets you connect an amplifier for a subwoofer without having to purchase a separate crossover. It also simplifies controls by providing subwoofer crossover and level controls as part of the headunits. So they can be easily adjusted from your listening position. Pioneer has incorporated the Non Interruption Philosophy into the Intelligent RDS Tuner for improved network following (NF). Thanks to the sophisticated algorithms, the different program alternative frequencies are screened out and continuous, uninterrupted listening pleasure is achieved. A theft-deterrent system invented by Pioneer which revolutionised headunit security. With RFP, you simply lift off the front panel of the unit, slip it into a protective case and take it with you. The unit's sensitive electronics remain protected in the dash; all that remains visible from the dash, however, is a black panel that won't attract thieves.

Digital Compression

Pioneer uses Screw-Type terminals for the speaker connections as well as the power and ground connections. These terminals make a more reliable connection and allow the use of larger gauge wire for improved performance. This allows a Pioneer amplifier to be connected to an OEM radio without requiring costly add-on adapters. The added flexibility allows your Pioneer amplifier to be a part of your system as it grows and expands.

Gives you the ability to program up to 10-digit descriptive title to be displayed when that CD is selected. Up to 48 titles may be entered with many Pioneer Single-Play CD units and up to 100 titles with Pioneer MCD Players. Digitally boosts low and high frequencies at lower volume levels to compensate for ambient road noise. Because all adjustments are made digitally, it is superior in performance to the analogue loudness circuit.
Many Pioneer speakers utilise a voice coil whose cylinder is made from a woven fiberglass material bound by a polyimide resin. This Glass-Imide material has much higher heat resistance, which translates into higher power handling capability for the speaker and less distortion.

Allows bass frequencies to be boosted for each equipped amplifier. This allows the installer/user to set the optimal bass level for the speakers connected to that individual amplifier; allowing the user to best utilise the headunit's tone controls for all speakers in the system.

Gives you the choice of programming any of your favourite CD tracks for up to 24 tracks per disc. Selections are then played back utilising ADPS and the "Program" button.
Pioneer uses a special injection moulding process rather than "pressing" polypropylene speaker cones. This process ensures uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. What's more, Pioneer's "Composite" technology guarantees the perfect mix of polypropylene and carbon-fiber, graphite and other materials to optimise the speaker cone for its specific application (woofers, midranges, or tweeters, etc.).

If there's ever any interruption to CD play (like turning your car off or switching to another source), Last Position Memory automatically resumes CD play from the same point. So you can always pick up exactly where you left off.

The Pioneer IMPP cone woofers give smoother low to upper midrange reproduction and high rigidity through the use of highly Crystallised Polypropylene. The integration in the cone of conical domes (Bass Bullets) results in lower distortion, richer bass sounds and increased cone rigidity.
VCCS (Voice Coil Cooling System)
During the process of DC-to-DC step-up transforming, the voltage at the secondary winding must be kept stable despite voltage fluctuations at the primary and secondary windings, or loads fluctuations at the secondary winding. Our PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) power supply design maintains stability between both windings, and uses a MOSFET to switch the power supply on and off very quickly in response to input. This translates into cleaner output with less distortion.

Double Damper

A damper supports the speaker cone and guides the cone as it moves back and forth during use. By using two dampers instead of one in many of its speakers, Pioneer has greatly improved linearity over the entire frequency range of the speaker. Other benefits include low distortion and an improvement in power handling capability.
