Install the APA-20 as shown in the diagram. On the Alcatel telephone, configure the Jack to accept a headset by selecting the following options in sequence: Menu > Settings > Phone > Jack > Headset. You should also switch OFF the headset option on your Alcatel telephone (this option is used only for headsets that are plugged into the handset port). You can do this by selecting: Menu > Settings > Forced Headset > OFF.
