Excellent sound quality Expensive Rather heavy on the ear - a smaller, more ergonomic design would be appreciated

Brilliant KIt Bought this so I can chat and work and it is brilliant. I have it paired with my Gigaset DECT phones and it works really well. Works perfectly with BT Voyager phones If it helps others, I bought this product hoping it would work well with BT Voyager (1500) phones. Plantronics C65 cordless DECT headset A great product. Very comfortable (lots of wearing options). Quality of incoming and outgoing speach very good.

Plantronics C65

You are free to walk, talk and work
This range of GAP* compatible wireless headsets can be registered to your DECT phone or wireless PBX, and then act as independent extension, just like your existing DECT handsets.

Home and home office use

DECT cordless phones are replacing corded phones in many homes due to the excellent sound quality and the flexibility of having multiple handsets connected to one base station. Now you can easily add a headset which works seamlessly alongside your existing system. So when the phone rings, you can answer the call with the headset, up to 50 metres from the base station. For outgoing calls, you simply dial with your handset and transfer the call to the headset.

Plantronics C70

For DECT PBX-equipped businesses
Warehouse environments, large retail stores and increasingly, general offices now have DECT PBXs to allow cordless access to the phone system. When paired with an appropriate DECT PBX these Plantronics headsets can offer site-wide roaming (within the system coverage), so you are always in contact.

Plantronics C351N

GAP Wireless range overview
The C65 is an entry level headset with a noise-cancelling microphone, and a choice of wearing styles. The C70 is very stylish and discreet, including a clear, removable voice tube microphone. The C351N with an over-the-head band, and soft, cushioned ear-pad is particularly suited to people who use the phone for long periods. Each of these wireless headsets offers total comfort, best-in-class device and battery performance and crystal-clear sound. Enjoy freedom from your desk, wires and neck-ache.

Pairing with DECT Phones

To pair with a residential phone, simply put the telephone base into pairing mode (usually press and hold a dedicated pair button or other multi-function button such as page), then put the headset into pairing mode and they will automatically find each other and pair. These headsets work with most GAP compatible DECT bases including: Siemens Gigaset range; BT Diverse 5000 series; BT Diverse 4000 series; Panasonic KXTCD5X5; Panasonic KXTCD4XX; Panasonic KXTCD580 and many more.
For a full list of compatible DECT phones that these headsets can be paired with, see: www.plantronics.com

Programming Tool

Certain enterprise DECT PBX systems require specific headset PIN codes. A Programming Tool is available which includes a base unit that connects to a PC, and software that enables system administrators to change the headset PIN code from the standard 0000 to any 8 digit code. This then enables the headsets to work on enterprise DECT systems where the longer PIN codes are required. The software also tracks the headsets in use along with their assigned PIN codes.

Plantronics B.V. hereby declares that this C65 DECT Wireless Headset System is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC.

1. GETTING STARTED

To use your Plantronics C65 DECT Headset System, please follow these simple steps: 1. Install your C65 desk-charger. 2. Charge your headset battery. 3. Register your headset to your DECT telephone. 4. Choose you headset wearing style.
INSTALLING THE DESK CHARGER
To install the desk-charger simply connect to the AC Power Adapter as shown in Fig. 2 on page 1. Then attach the stand by inserting the Stand Pegs into the locating holes on the underside of the Desk Charger Module. This will create the finished desk charger assembly (refer to Fig.3, page 1).

CHARGING THE BATTERY

To charge the headset battery, place the headset into the DOCKING CRADLE. During charging the CHARGE indicator will be illuminated. When the headset is fully charged, the CHARGE indicator will extinguish. The headset must be charged for a minimum of 1 hour prior to use 3 hours to fully charge.

REGISTERING YOUR HEADSET

Prior to using your C65 headset for the first time, you MUST register (1) it with your DECT telephone. Before attempting to register the C65 headset, first read the instructions for registering a new DECT handset in the manual supplied with your DECT telephone. The process for registering the C65 headset will be very similar and the information below describes the registration sequence for a typical DECT telephone. 1. Change the system Authentication code of your DECT telephone to 0000 to match the preset PIN of the C65 headset. Your DECT telephone manual will describe how to do this. Note: Many DECT telephones already use 0000 as their default Authentication code, so you may not need to change it. 2. Place the DECT telephone base in subscription mode by following the instructions in your DECT telephone manual. 3. Do not follow the DECT telephone manual instructions to place the handset in registration mode as this will register the handset rather than the headset. Instead, activate headset registration mode by PRESSING the Volume Mute Control as if to activate Mute (see Fig 4.2) but HOLDING until the ON-LINE indicator illuminates. 4. Complete registration by following any remaining instructions in your DECT telephone manual. Important: Your DECT telephone system must comply with the Generic Access Protocol (GAP) standard to work with the C65 headset. Most modern DECT systems comply with the GAP specification, but some older systems may not. If in doubt, check the documentation supplied with your DECT telephone. For more information, visit ww.plantronics.com which provides a list of compatible DECT telephone systems and provides detailed headset registration instructions for the most common models of DECT telephone. (1) Registration is sometimes also referred to as subscription or pairing. 7

The ring tone will then sound in the headset. PRESS the headset TALK Button to complete the transfer, and continue with your call using the headset.
