No Problem. Worked fine. Input requires a Female connector instead of the usual Male connector.

I can't believe I waited so long to get a KVM! It is so simple too! Just plug it in and it works. Almost like magic... Works great.

Contrast ratio determines the quality of a projected image. High brightness alone is not enough.
High Contrast Ratio Is the Key to Crisp, Sharp Image Quality.
Contrast ratio is the key factor in sharpness, a crucial quality for projectors used in business and education where superior visibility is required for charts and small-font documents. The U4 Series offers superior contrast performance enabled by the DLP projection system. These PLUS projectors deliver incredibly high contrast ratio of 1500:1 and thus crisp, sharp image quality.
Crisp, Sharp Image Quality: Reason

Black looks truly black.

A high-brightness but low-contrast projector displays a whitish image with poor visibility. Visibility largely depends on how dark black is reproduced, and is critical in projecting business and education materials which involve heavy use of black text and lines. Higher contrast means more visibility and ensures a crisp image with pure black text.
Pictures appear clear and vibrant.
Because of an optical illusion called the Mach band effect, the human eye perceives a change in brightness between two neighboring pixels more intensely than the actual change in the amount of light. High-contrast projectors accurately reproduce the difference between the lightest and darkest portions of an image, providing crisp pictures. Look at the photos below. The photo with the black border appears sharper than the photo with the white border, even though the photos themselves are actually the same.
Charts set against photos are delivered with excellent clarity.
Combined images of colorful charts and photos sometimes look flat and unclear when projected, even if they look beautiful on the computer screen. But this never happens with PLUS projectors. Our projectors high-contrast ratio ensures rich tonal gradations, allowing a chart to stand out sharply from a background photo.

The most powerful business mobile projectors ever, which will vastly broaden your arena of presentation.
Compact, lightweight and bright, and delivering superior image quality, they have everything you want in a business mobile projector. The projectors can be taken anywhere, anytime, to make presentations with excellent image quality in any setting. PLUS's U4 Series represents a new standard for business mobile projectors.
PLUS Sets a New Benchmark for Business Mobile Projectors.
Slim and lightweight at only 1.5 kg, the U4 Series delivers radiant brightness of 1500 ANSI lumens.
For the creation of the U4 Series, PLUS has drawn on its engineering savvy and experience acquired through its longtime development of mobile projectors. Featuring a new generation DMD chip developed by Texas Instruments, a further improved color wheel and light engine, a newly designed lamp, and more, these projectors deliver best-in-class* brightness of 1500 ANSI lumens in a compact package weighing a mere 1.5 kg. They allow you to project a clear image even amidst bright ambient light, regardless of room size. * Among sub-1.5 kg projectors in Japan. Applicable only to the U4-136 and U4-131. (Study by PLUS Vision Corp., January 2003)
The U4 Series's Superior Features Help You Prepare and Give Outstanding Presentations.

Easy Setup

Choice of zoom model or short-focus model: The new arrivals, the U4-136 and U4-112, have a manual zoom lens for placement flexibility, while the short-focus model allow large-screen presentations in small spaces, and are perfect for mobile professionals. Auto-source: Identifies and projects RGB and video input sources automatically. Auto-adjustment: Automatically tunes the RGB phase, clock frequency, and resolution to achieve the optimal image. Digital keystone correction: Allows you to correct the image from top-to-bottom. Unlike most LCD projectors, PLUS projectors are designed to project images at a comfortable viewing level, ensuring a distortion-free image.
*The photos are conceptual renderings.
Astounding 1500:1 contrast ratio produces picture quality that exceeds the actual lumen value.
Contrast between the lightest and darkest portions of an image determines its overall visibility. The U4 Series's upgraded contrast ratio of 1500:1 delivers the blackest black and the whitest white. This provides clearer images of text and fine drawings than other projectors with the same brightness and a lower contrast ratio. It also allows fine gradations of expression with photographs and other images. See the back page for details.
Digital keystone correction Allows you to easily adjust the image horizontally.
Special Features for Presentations
Internal CF card slot for a PC-less presentation: By preloading presentation images into a CompactFlash card, you can run a stand-alone presentation without hooking up to a PC. (U4-136 only)

PLUS Takes the Superior Picture Quality Enabled by DLP Technology Even Higher.
PLUS's engineering expertise unleashes the full potential of a DLP projection system.
* The file formats that can be displayed directly from the CF card are: MS-DOS JPEG (excluding Progressive JPEG and some other variations), BMP and PNG. The maximum display resolution is 2048 x 1024. * PC Card Viewer software is available for download from http://www. plus-vision. com /en / support / download. html. The software converts presentation files such as PowerPoint slides into playback data that can be displayed directly from the CF card. Windows 98/98SE/Me/ 2000/XP compatible.
At the core of DLPTM technology is a 100% digitally controlled device called a Digital Micromirror Device (DMD), which was developed by Texas Instruments. DMDs offer a variety of advantages, such as low light loss and a high contrast ratio. PLUS maximizes these inherent advantages of DLPTM technology through its optical expertise built on its years of experience as a pioneer in DLPTM projectors.

U4-136

With PLUS's M Series copyboards featuring a built-in CF card slot, you can download what is written on the board page to a CompactFlash card, and project it directly from the U4-136 digital projector. Information can be shared easily with all meeting participants without printing and distributing hard copy. Presentation timer: Indicates the remaining presentation time on screen, and allows you to manage time without keeping an eye on your watch. Custom logo: Projects your own background logo, preselected in advance, as a startup screen. Impress your audience and enhance your presentation image with a custom logo. Front ventilation: Keeps the exhaust air away from audience members who sit on the side of the projector, providing a distraction-free viewing environment. Full-function remote-control card: Ultra-portable card-type remote control is supplied as a standard feature.
Excellent color uniformity and zero convergence problems ensure effective presentations.
The LCD system generates images by first breaking light into the three additive primary colors (RGB) and then recombining them into one, and thus invites color non-uniformity and convergence problems, such as colored fringes around objects. In contrast, the one-chip DLPTM projection system used in PLUS projectors reproduces images through RGB sequential illumination with a color wheel. This allows superb color uniformity, even against solid-color backgrounds, and perfect color alignment for clear images of small-font text and colorful charts.

Presentation timer Lets you set the presentation time from 10 to 60 minutes in 10-minute intervals. The blue gauge indicates the remaining time.
Seamless high-definition imaging means no visible pixelations.
The DMD system, the key element in DLPTM technology, controls images with the backside of each micromirror, which corresponds to one pixel. This allows the grid between each micromirror to be less than one micron. In contrast, LCD projectors control images using the grids between pixels, which makes it difficult to narrow the grids for a smooth image. DLPTM projectors can deliver seamless, smooth, and accurate images.

U4-131, U4-111

Whisper quiet operation: Noise level is reduced immensely through the innovative location of the fan. Built-in sliding lens cap (U4-131, U4-111) : Protects the projector lens. No need to worry about damaging it during transportation of the projector. * Removable lens cap for U4-136 and U4-112 Eco-mode: Extends the lamp life by reducing the brightness to about 80% of the normal mode.
