System Connections
Connecting to the Main Unit
1. Make sure that the master DVD player, extra screen, and any other electrical equipment are off before connecting. 2. Connect the AC adapter to the extra screen and connect the extra LCD screen with the main DVD player using the power supply cord to supply power to the main screen. 3. Use the AV cables to connect the extra screen with the main screen so that the main screen can input audio and video to the extra screen.
Note: the AC adapter must connect to the extra screen or it will not have power.
Connecting the Headphones
Connect the headphones to the right side of the player for private listening. When the headphones are connected, the speakers will automatically turn off.
Troubleshooting
If you suspect there is something wrong with the DVD player, immediately turn off the power. Disconnect the power connector and check that there is no smoke or excessive heat coming from the unit. Never open or try to repair the unit yourself. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
SYMPTOM There is no sound
HOW TO CHECK Make sure the system connections are correct. Make sure the speakers are turned on. Make sure the audio source is correct. Make sure the LCD screen is on and in correct video mode. Make sure the system connections are correct. Make sure the video source is correct.
There is no picture
Other possibilities: Static or external interference may cause the player to function abnormally. In order to recover normal status, please unplug the power-supply cord and then plug it into the outlet again to reset the player. If the problems still exist, please cut off the power supply and consult your service center or qualied technician.

Remote Control
Installing the Remote Control Battery
1. 2. 3. Pull the battery holder out from the remote control as shown below. Load a new battery properly with the (+) side up. Insert the battery holder back into the remote control.
Battery Type: CR2025 3V Battery service life: approximately 1 year under normal use (at room temperature)
Using the Remote Control
Point the remote control to the remote sensor on the unit within a 5-meter range and 60-degree angles, without obstacles between the remote control and remote sensor. Notes: Improper use of the battery may cause overheating, explosion or ignition, which can result in an injury or re. Battery leakage may damage the remote control. Do not expose the remote control to direct sunlight. Do not recharge, disassemble, deform, or heat the battery. Immediately replace the exhausted battery. Take out battery when the remote is not being used for a long period of time.
System Connections
Always ensure that the DVD player, TV, and any other electrical equipment to be connected are switched off and unplugged from the power supply. Ensure that you observe the color coding when connecting audio and video cables.

Connecting to an Amplier
Follow the drawing below to connect the DVD player Refer to your audio equipments manual before to the TVs audio/video input with the audio/video connecting. Follow the drawing below to connect the cables. DVD player to an AV amplier.
Connecting to an External AV Source
Connecting to the Headphones
The player supports an AV signal input function. Use Connect the headphones to the headphone jack on the AV cables to connect the player to an external either side of the player. When headphones are AV signal source such as a DVD, VCR, etc. After connected, the speakers will automatically turn off. connecting, switch the DVD/AV IN to AV IN.
Note: Noise may occur in speakers when there is an external audio signal input while playing a DVD disc. Unplug the audio cord to clear the noise.
Connecting to a Gaming System
On your gaming system, use a gaming adapter (coupler)* to connect the RCA cables from your gaming system to the RCA cables from your portable DVD player. Connect the connected RCA cables to the gaming system and portable DVD player, turn on the portable DVD player and gaming system, and press the AV IN/OUT button on the portable DVD player to play.
* Gaming adapter not included with all portable DVD players.
Power Supply
Using the AC Adapter
The player is supplied with an AC adapter for powering the unit and charging the batter. 1. Connect the AC adapter to the left side of the DVD player in the pack marked DC 9.5 IN. 2. Plug the two-prong end of the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The power indicator lights red when charging the battery and green when complete.
Notes: Turn the players power off before unplugging. When using the adapter, the LCD screen will be brighter than using the rechargeable battery.
Using the Car Adapter The player is supplied withe a car adapter for powering the unit and charging the battery in a vehicle. Connect the car adapter power plug to the units power jack and the other end to the vehicles 12V accessory/ cigarette lighter socket.
Attention: Do not operate the unit or view video software while driving a vehicle. Place the unit in a proper viewing position. Detach the battery pack when using the AC or car adapter as a power source. Disconnect the player from the car adapter when starting the vehicle.

Care of Discs
Holding Discs
When loading or removing discs, try not to touch their play surfaces.
Cleaning Discs
Fingerprints or stain on the disc may affect the quality of sound and picture. To clean your discs, use a soft clean cloth to wipe them. If necessary, moisten a soft cloth with neutral detergent to remove heavy dirty or ngerprints. Do not wipe in a circular direction (concentric scratches on the disc groove tend to cause noise). Gently wipe from center of the disc to the outer edge.
Playback Operation*
Please read the following instructions carefully before using your DVD player for the rst time.
Warning: To avoid damaging the lens, do not play poor quality discs.
Pre-Operation
1. Connect the unit to power supply through the provided AC adaptor. 2. Switch POWER ON/OFF to ON to turn the DVD player on. 3. Push the OPEN switch on the unit to open the disc tray cover. Put a disc in the disc tray with printed side up. Close the disc cover. 4. The player will search the disc and play it automatically. 5. Adjust the volume with the VOLUME control on the right panel to the desired level. 6. To turn the player off, switch the POWER ON/OFF to off.
Basic Operation
FUNC button: press the FUNC button to change the brightness and color level. Adjust these values with the + and buttons on the front panel. Press and hold the FUNC button for about 1-2 seconds to change the aspect ratio between 16:9 and 4:3.

Playback Operation
Features are available on both the DVD player and remote control unless otherwise noted.
DVD Playback
ENTER/ENT button PAUSE/ STOP/ button button When you load a disc in, the player will search the disc and play it automatically. Press the direction buttons ( ) to highlight the item you want to play and press the ENTER/ENT button to conrm. Press the PAUSE/ button to pause during playback and the PLAY button to resume normal playback. Press the STOP/ button once to stop playback. Then press the PLAY button to resume normal playback from the place where the STOP buton was pressed. Press the STOP/ button twice to stop playback completely. Press the MENU button during playback. The root menu will appear on the screen. Press the direction buttons ( ) to select the item you want to play and press the ENTER/ENT button to conrm. You can also press the 0-9 and +10 buttons to select the item you prefer. In general, the content of a DVD disc can be divided into several titles. There are also several menus in a title. Press the TITLE button during playback. The title menu will appear on the screen. Press the direction buttons ( ) to select the title or disc menu item you want to watch and then press the ENTER/ ENT button to conrm. You can also press the 0-9 and +10 buttons to select the item you prefer. (remote only) Press the ZOOM button repeatedly to shift among 1x - 2x - 3x - 4x zooming effect and normal playback. Press the button to go to the previous chapter. Press the button to go to the next chapter. Press the / button (and hold it for several seconds) to start fast forward/ rewind playback. Press it (and hold it for several seconds) repeatedly to fast forward/rewind at the speed of 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, and normal playback. Press PLAY to return to normal playback. Press the SLOW button repeatedly and slow playback will at the speed of 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, and normal playback. During slow playback, press the PLAY button to resume normal playback. DVD Playback (continued)
INFO button Press to display or cancel the detailed information of the disc during playback. (remote only) DVD discs can contain up to 8 audio bit streams. For example: English, French, etc. To select the audio bit stream you prefer, press the AUDIO button during playback. The DVD player will play the next audio bit stream every time you press the AUDIO button in succession. (remote only) When a DVD is playing, press the SUBT button to select a subtitle language or to turn subtitles off. A DVD disc can be recorded with at most 32 subtitles. Note: this function is only available for discs recorded with multi-subtitles. (remote only) Press the ANGLE button to play the disc in multi-angle. Multi-angle means that a scene is shot from different angles so the audience can watch from any angle. If there are multiple angles in a scene, you can use the ANGLE button to select the angle you enjoy. Press the ANGLE button repeatedly to view different angle options. Note: this function is only available for DVD discs coded with multi-angle.

During playback, press the STOP/ button once to stop and then press the PLAY/ button to resume normal playback from the place where the STOP/ button is pressed. Press the STOP/ button twice repeatedly to stop playback completely. Press the / (and hold it for several seconds) to play fast forward/rewind. Press it (and hold it several seconds) repeatedly, the fast forward/rewind playback will be undergoing at the speed of 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, in sequence. Press the PLAY/ button to return to normal playback. Press the button to play the previous chapter. Press the button to play the next chapter. During playback, press the GOTO button repeatedly to enter the menu to select direction buttons to select the desired track, time track, or disc time. Use the item you want to set. You can change the default settings of this unit to customize its performance to your own preferences. Note: Program the system while playback is stopped completely or there is no disc in the payer. To Set up your system: 1. Press the SETUP button and the setup menu will appear on the screen. 2. Press the direction buttons to select a sub-menu to program and press the ENT/ENTER button to access. In the sub-menu, use the button to highlight the MAIN PAGE and press the ENT/ENTER button to exit. 3. Press the SETUP button again to exit the setup menu at any time during setting.

PASSWORD Use the direction buttons to enter 8-8-8-8 (factory default). Press ENTER to conrm. You will be required to create a new password. Use the direction buttons to enter the desired password. Press ENTER to conrm. To reset the password, reset the portable DVD player to factory defaults.
RATING Use the direction buttons to select the rating you want to set your portable DVD player. The default it set to ADULT. Press ENTER to conrm. Note: not all discs are coded with ratings.
DEFAULT To reset the portable DVD player to factory default settings, use the direction buttons to select RESTORE. Press ENTER to conrm.
OSD LANGUAGE Use the direction buttons to select the desired OSD language. Press ENTER to conrm.

To attach the DVD player to the car seat headrest: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Place the DVD player on a soft and smooth surface with the bottom facing up. Loosen the strap and remove the buckle. Insert the strap through the holes (g. 1). Make sure the inside of the strap faces up. Thread the strap into the buckle (g. 2 and 3). After threading, make sure the outside of the buckle faces up. Repeat these steps for the other strap. Adjust the length of the strap according to the backrest of the seat. Fasten the straps on the headrest of the seat (g. 4). Make sure the two straps are between the headrest and the headrest support rods.
Depending on your portable DVD player model, your player may or may not include a Polaroid bag. If your portable DVD player does not include a bag, you can visit www.polaroid.com to purchase.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ATTACHING YOUR PORTABLE DVD PLAYER CASE IN A VEHICLE
Please read and follow these instructions carefully when attaching this case inside your vehicle. For easy installation, do not place the DVD player in the case until the case is attached inside the vehicle.
Caution
1. Do not use this DVD player case as a swing, car seat, or for any other purpose than to hold a DVD player and accessories. 2. The DVD player case is intended for viewing only from the rear seats. No not install or use this product in the front seat of a vehicle. 3. In case of collision or a sudden stop, to reduce the chance of injury, always keep the DVD player strapped securely while the vehicle is moving. Your DVD player can be securely attached in one of the following ways to view movies from the rear seats: Directly behind either the driver or passenger seat Between two front bucket seats
Always position the plastic hooks and strap adjustment slider so they do not contact the back of the head of the person in the front seat.
Carrying Case
To attach the DVD player case to a seat back (gures 1 and 2) 1. Unzip the main compartment that holds the player; locate the set of rings tucked inside the top edge of the case (A). 2. Locate the two straps with hooks on each end. 3. Hook one end of each strap to the rings at the top of the case (A). 4. Criss-cross the straps around the front of the headrest (B) and hook the straps to a second set of rings on the lower part of the case (C). 5. Tighten up the straps until secure.
To suspend the DVD player case between two bucket seats (gure 3): 1. Unzip the main compartment that holds the player; locate the set of rings tucked inside the top edge of the case (A). 2. Locate the two straps with hooks on each end. 3. Hook one end of each strap to the rings at the top of the case (A). 4. Wrap each strap around the headrest of seat; hook the straps to a second set of rings on the lower part of the case (C); in some vehicles, the middle rings in the gusset might work best (D). 5. Tighten up the straps until secure.

This refers to a screen on which the playback picture of wide-screen DVDs appears with black bands running along the top and bottom.
Pan & Scan screen
This refers to a screen on which the playback picture of wide-screen DVDs is cut off at the left and right sides.
Title, Chapter (DVD)
DVDs are divided into some large sections (titles) and some small sections (chapters). Each section is numbered as chapter or title numbers Title 1 Chapter 1 Chapter 2. Title 2 Chapter 1.
Track (CD)
CDs are divided into some sections (tracks). Each section is numbered as tracks. Track 1 Track 2 Track 3..
JPEG is a common picture format that has small le size and low quality-loss rate of picture. Hundreds of pictures can be stored in a disc in this format. In order to utilize the real digital album, use lm to make a picture CD in JPEG format.
Troubleshooting
If you suspect there is something wrong with the DVD player, immediately turn off the power. Disconnect the power connector and check that there is no smoke or excessive heat coming from the unit. Never open or try to repair the unit yourself. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
PROBLEM The player cannot play There is no sound There is no picture Poor AV performance The remote control does not work POSSIBLE CAUSE The disc cover may not be closed. There may be no disc in the DVD drive. The disc may not be put in the right way. The disc may be dirty or warped. The players region code may not be the same as the discs region code. There may be water on the lens. The system connection may be incorrect. The speakers may be turned down. The sound setup of the DVD may be incorrect. The disc may be dirty or warped. The LCD may not be in correct video mode. The system connectivity may be incorrect. The unit may not be in AV OUT mode. The disc may be dirty or warped. There may be some obstructions between the remote control and the player. The remote control may not be pointed at the player. The remote control battery may be inserted incorrectly. The remote control batteries may be out of power or weak. POSSIBLE SOLUTION Close the disc cover. Put a disc in to the DVD drive. Put the disc in with the label side up. Clean or change the disc. Make sure the players region code is the same as the DVDs region code. Remove the disc and keep the player turned off for at least two hours. Connect the system correctly. Turn on the speakers. Setup the sound of the DVD correctly. Clean or change the disc.
Choose the correct video mode. Connect the system correctly. Switch the AV IN/OUT on the right panel to OUT.
Clean or change the disc. Remove the obstruction between the remote control and the player. Point the remote control directly at the player. Make sure the polarity of each battery is correct. Replace the batteries.
Other possibilities: Static or external interference may cause the player to function abnormally. In order to recover normal status, please unplug the power-supply cord and then plug it into the outlet again to reset the player. If the problems still exist, please cut off the power supply and consult your service center or qualied technician. 28
