The P5000 Series printers, models 05B/10/15 have several outstanding features that contribute to the ease of low cost service; Auto Ranging Power Supply, long life hammers that require no adjustment or alignment, combined Controller/Mechanism design, self-contained Shuttle assembly with built-in Hammer Driver PCBA. Superior diagnostic and automatic self-monitoring features, Centronics and RS232 interfaces built-in and configurable from a liquid crystal display control panel. The P5000 printers feature a small footprint with excellent service access. The CMX 40 controller will now be used universally by all printer models. This change will help in the processing speed of complex applications found in todays work place environments. Another significant change is in the re-design of the hammer bank cover assembly. The single piece unit, as found in the earlier models, has now been separated in two parts, ribbon mask and cover assembly. A benefit found in separating these parts is the reduction in cost when having to replace only the ribbon mask as compared to replacing the whole assembly. Also, the hammer cover assembly is now bolted onto the hammer bank frame resulting in more precise hammer-tip protrusion and better print quality over a broader range of forms.

VI. Warranty: (for Europe, the Middle East and Africa only)
PRINTRONIX warrants the printer delivered hereunder shall (1) be free from any encumbrances, and (2) be free from defects in material and workmanship, and that any part or parts found defective within one (1) year of original shipping date from PRINTRONIX facility shall be repaired or replaced at the option and expense of PRINTRONIX. Shipping costs to the PRINTRONIX facility shall be paid by the purchaser, and PRINTRONIX, at its sole discretion, may repair or replace such a part or parts and will return the item(s) at the expense of PRINTRONIX. Liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part. Repair or replacement of the part thereof shall neither extend nor decrease the warranty period. This product warranty is applicable only if the product has had normal utilization within its specifications, has been utilised with PRINTRONIX approved parts, had not been modified or altered in a manner not approved by PRINTRONIX, and has been maintained in accordance with recommended maintenance procedures. Please note that expandable parts, and parts found to be damaged as a result of operator, are excluded from warranty. Purchasers remedies are expressly limited to PRINTRONIX obligations as stated above, and in no event shall PRINTRONIX be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages or loss of use, or other commercial loss, however occasioned.

Pre-Contract Inspection provided by service provider prior to signing maintenance contract. When the printer is already installed and out of the 90 days warranty, there is no charge for pre-contract inspection when the printer passes inspection and goes under contract. * Site Fee is a one time cost for each location. For example, costs to install two printers at the same location would be $175.00,site fee, plus $ 90.00 = (2 printers @ $ 45.00 ea.) for a total of $265.00. ** Sure Stak Stacker spare parts are found in the last page of this maintenance plan. *** First and second year warranty extension coverage must be selected within 30 days of installation. If not, standard contract pricing applies after 90 day on-site warranty expiration.

The level 1 Spares provide 90% serviceability and combined with the level 2 Spares, the serviceability is 95%. Combine that with the level 3 Spares to provide complete product field support.
