| What we get from Ossian Studios falls between a really well built fan made mod and an unfinished professional release. Quite easily the worst role playing game ever created. Despite a boring combat system, and technical flaws, this is a very solid game. | |

Generator
Create your own light with Profoto tools designed for light shaping
The Profoto Philosophy
The cornerstone of the Profoto design philosophy is to create tools for shaping light. The result is a totally modular system that is easy to understand and work with. You can rest assured that you will get the same, consistent quality of light ash-to-ash and shot-to-shot whether in the studio or on location. You'll get all this while using the same Profoto Light Shaping Tools that interchangeably t a complete system of studio and location generators and self contained units.
Perfect light
After natural light, the light you create is the most important element of photography. Natural light comes in unending varieties of hue and character. As a photographer, you can choose to patiently wait for the perfect light, or create it, using the right tools, to control, complement, or recreate the beauty that nature provides.
Safety and total reliability
Many electronic safeguards are incorporated to ensure the generator is always ready to function at its peak performance for long periods of time. These implementations include auto-diagnostic start-up circuitry, DDP pulse charging capacitor circuitry (for Deep Discharge Protection), temperature control, and overload protection. Profotos unique arc-free twist-lock lamp head connectors are among the safest in the industry, so there is no need to shut down the generator to remove lamp heads. For total reliability, the generator and heads must be able to withstand heavy use without failure.
Optically designed light shaping tools
The Profoto philosophy demands that tools be designed to shape light in specific ways, with minimum effort. Profotos unique modular system of optically designed light shaping tools allows you to create the perfect light on demand. With them, you can work simply, consistently, and efciently. To systematically create different types of light, you need to start with the basic concepts of direct, diffused, and reected light. The possibilities are endless, but the process should be creative without being time consuming.
Look, listen and touch
Look at the control panel, and you can start working right away. Use of the dials is intuitive and logical. Listen to the way parts click positively into place. Feel the rugged, lightweight, and practical styling of every component.
Achieve a distinctive quality of light
With Profoto, you select from a versatile, modular system of light shaping instruments, each with the ability to create its own distinct character of light so you can create your own style.
Take your style of light anywhere
Anywhere, anytime. Use it everyday in your studio or grab it for work on location. With portable, user changeable, multi voltage generators and self contained units that also work with most brands of gas generators, you are free to create images anywhere.

Acute2 Generator
Profoto Acute2 When you travel and on location
Reliable, lightweight, and portable, the Acute line of ash generators is ideal for photographers who take their equipment on the road. The latest Acute generators maintain the small size and convenient foot print of their predecessors, while adding substantially improved performance and function. Faster recycle times and shorter ash durations combine with proportional modeling lights to offer location packages perfectly suited for all applications.
AcuteB 600 The pack you can, and will, bring anywhere
The AcuteB is nothing less than a miracle. In an incredibly compact form (the size of a stack of VCR tapes) and weighing less than 5kg (11 lbs), you still have a seven f-stop range of from 9-600Ws, the equivalent of 160 full power ashes per battery and built-in wireless radio sync (optional). Using the AcuteB Head you can just put it all in a backpack and walk away, with nothing short of an entire studio on your back. The bottom line? You can and will bring high-quality light wherever you go.
It all works together AcuteMaximum performance on the go
Designed for top performance, the fan-cooled Acuteallows studio pack features in a small size convenient for travel. Or what about three asymmetric outlets, 2400Ws maximum output, a 6 f-stop energy range, and ash durations of 1/1800-1/320s in a box weighing no more than 6.1 kg (13.4 lbs) You simply dont get more power per pound than that. Of course, all Acute generators and lamp heads are compatible with all Profoto Light Shaping Tools. Also, all Acute2 generators are fully compatible with all older Acute style heads. And all new Acute/D4 heads are compatible with older Acute generators.
Tough, roomy and forgiving introducing the Profoto Batteries AcuteVery fast, very lightweight
Similar to the Acute2 2400, the 1200 offers even faster recycling and shorter ash durations in an even smaller package, at 19x22x13 cm (7.5"x8.7"x5.1") weighing a mere 4.1 kg (9 lbs). In short: the perfect choice when 1200Ws is enough.
Just like all the other Profoto battery generators, the AcuteB uses latest technology sealed lead acid batteries, combining maximum capacity with fast recharging and, not least important, penalty free partial charging: because you dont always have time to fully charge or discharge your batteries. Remember: bringing additional batteries ensure you are never out of power, no matter how far away from an outlet you are.

Acute2 Shape your own light
We wouldnt dream of standing in your way
As a professional photographer, you have your own special style and needs. You know the expression you want to achieve, and you dont feel good until you can shape the light your way. Therefore, the Profoto Light Shaping System is based on the principle of maximum exibility. First of all, we put the ash tube outside of the lamp body, and we have made every single Light Shaping Tool zoomable. The result is that every tool offers an unlimited number of lighting effects. Secondly, the Profoto family of Light Shaping Tools is comprehensive, ranging from traditional umbrellas and reectors to special effects equipment and the very large Giant Reectors and the advanced StripLights and Spotlights. So you can choose the exact tool you need. And then zoom it to perfection. Because only you can tell what your light looks like. Your equipment should not stand in your way.
Grab and move
The sturdy rubber-clad handle on the lamp head takes the hassle out of adjusting the light even when the head is hot after hours of shooting.
Set it on ve!
On every lamp head there is a scale with large white gures to help you remember your favorite settings for each Profoto Light Shaping Tool.
Acute/D4 Head
Cat# 501-210
With a modeling light of 250W and a maximum ash output of 4800Ws, the Acute/D4 Head is the top of the line lamp head for all Acute generators, as well as the Profoto D4. When using this head on the AcuteB 600 there is a special adapter allowing you to use the high-performance 65W lamp.
The Acute/D4 Head includes: zoom reflector, flash tube, 250W halogen lamp, removable frosted glass cover, protective transportation cap, and a 4m (13ft) lamp cable.
Changing tools is easy
The Profoto Light Shaping Tools are all fastened using a virtually unbreakable and very easy to use rubber-and-metal clasp.

Shape your own light
Acute2
Just zoom it
By pushing the reector forward and backward on the lamp head, the spread and effect of the light can be greatly altered. Pushed back it gives very even lighting over a broad area. Sliding it forward results in center weighted light with a gradual light fall off at the edges.
The guiding is there
To guide you when zooming the Light Shaping Tool, there is a chart on each one telling you where to zoom it, corresponding to the number on the lamp head, to achieve a certain effect.
We have the tools you need
Reectors, umbrellas, softboxes, grids, spotlights, special effects, ring ashes, striplights the Profoto line of Light Shaping Tools offers everything you might possibly need.

High-voltage power controlled by sophisticated electronics
Building a modern ash generator raises a lot of challenges. To start with, generators contain two separate technological systems. There are microprocessors and integrated circuits for control, external interfaces, and display. And there are also powerful high-voltage components that generate the actual ash. Not only do the two systems have to t in the same limited space, they must also cooperate perfectly without disturbing each other. If not, the 2/10 step adjustments and the Profoto 1/75 f-stop accuracy would not be possible. Finally, these two systems must interface a third one: the professional photographer. That means reducing all the complicated technology to a simple and rugged set of knobs, buttons, and outlets. In conclusion, all Profoto generators: produce the highest quality light with extreme accuracy, without being complicated to use are built using durable and nger-friendly materials have a carefully designed layout to make your daily work as easy as possible feature maximum security safety when it comes to high-voltage components and plugs give you visual, audible, and tactile feedback seeing, hearing, feeling

Usability
Flash equipment is a lot about technology photographers are not
Even though it takes advanced electronics to control a modern ash generator, there will be a human being operating the pack. There will be a hand of esh and blood turning the knobs, carrying the pack, and inserting the cables. And there might be eyes tired from many hours of shooting that are checking the dials.
Design matters
All in all, the exterior design is just as important as the interior electronics. If not more. Thats why Profoto has given the area a lot of attention, ever since we started out in the late 60s.
Durable outlets for your safety
Our lamp outlets combine ease of use with extreme durability and safety. Connection and locking of the plug requires very little force. Still, when fastened, you can literally use the cable for towing the generator (though its not advisable.). Connect or disconnect the plugs at anytime!
Simplicity is king
The main design principle at Profoto is simplicity. That goes hand in hand with durability like the metal and rubber clasp used to mount Light Shaping Tools. You immediately understand how it works and it virtually never breaks. Things just shouldnt be more complicated than necessary.
See it, hear it, feel it
For maximum usability, our equipment also gives you feedback for several senses. Look at a knob and see the current setting. Grab it and feel the notch. Turn it and you both feel and hear the clicks. So, even in tough, stressful environments you dont have to look twice at the generator. You just know. Rubber handles for easy handling
Your hands might be sweaty, dirty, or sticky. Still you can't drop the equipment, even when things are messy. Thats why we put sturdy, ergonomic rubber handles on top of our generators.
No-fuss knobs - for your ngers
The knobs on our generators are big and well-shaped, with a colored notch and large, indented figures. When turned theres a distinct clicking. Its just simple, sturdy, and easy to use.

Acute Accessories
Digital Wireless Freedom
(Optional)
Digital Wireless Freedom is a system of professional photographic products, which incorporate a compatible digital radio system that eliminates the need for a PC sync cable. Originally integrated in the Profoto Acute2R generator, digital wireless freedom is taken to a whole new level with the Pro-B2 and AcuteB. Full 32-channel/4-zone triggering offers photographers creativity and control with a new simplied interface. The Pro-B2 and AcuteB are available with a receiver capable of ring the pack under any condition. With an effective range of 100 m (330 ft), the digital radio system cannot be fooled by other strobes ring, shaded, darkened studios or blinded by bright lights. Furthermore, since it works on a radio frequency and not infrared, it works around corners and through walls. Digital reliability ensures your ash res every time.
Tough, roomy, and forgiving introducing the Profoto batteries
Were using the latest sealed lead/acid technology batteries, combining maximum capacity with fast recharging and, not least important, penalty-free partial charging. Because we understand you dont always have the time to fully charge or discharge a battery. Additional battery cassettes for rapid replacement ensure you are never out of power, no matter how far away from an outlet you are.
Running the modeling lamp via mains
The 85W adapter will let you use the modeling light directly via the mains power supply in the studio. This will allow you to work with continuous modeling light without using the energy from the battery.
Channel selection/features
There is a special dial for setting the rst 4 radio channels (Pro-B2) or a special learn mode to set the channels. It also offers additional features like precision delay, rear curtain synch, and multi-pops. On top, radio slaves are faster than most IR transmitters important when working with a fast recycling generator like Pro-B2. Fully compatible with all 32 channels used by Pocket Wizard, the new Pro-B2 and AcuteB can be red using any model PocketWizard transmitter or transceiver. You can also use the Sekonic L-358, L-608 or L-558 light meters, with the Pocket Wizard transmitter enabled, to re the generator. Available in two versions for Europe (433 MHz) and other markets (344 MHz).
Charging the AcuteB 600/600R
The Charger 1A (included with all AcuteB 600/600R generators) can recharge an empty battery in 5 h. The Charger 2A is twice as fast.
AcuteB 600 Kit Bag
Cat# 501-903
A rugged, nylon bag for an AcuteB 600/600R with lamp head and an extra battery cassette. With shoulder strap and handle.
