TRL systems were delivered between 1986 and 1991.The TRL systems are very stable and reliable, but component sourcing is becoming a challenge. The TRL system design makes it easy to upgrade to todays state-of-the-art Rosemount TankRadar Rex tank gauging system. Rex gauges use the same power supply as the TRL gauges Signal wiring can in most cases be reused Rex antenna models normally fit the same size manways and still-pipes as TRL is using Existing temperature sensors can in most cases be linked directly into the Rex system, or via a Slave Data Acquisition Unit (SDAU) The most convenient way is to upgrade one tank group ,all tanks connected to one Field connection box (FCB), at the same time. Just replace the FCB with todays Field Communication Unit (FCU) and replace the TRL gauges with Rex. The new Rex gauges are linked to a TankMaster Inventory Software via the FCU. TankMaster can also present tank data from the remaining TRL tanks, via a serial interface to the existing Processor Unit (PU). Solutions for single tank upgrades and wireless options between the FCU and the control room are also available. Compact small mechanical thermostat for temperature regulation and monitoring of heaters, for example in transmitter cabinets, control panels and measuring equipment which are deployed in areas with explosion hazard. The special switch construction enables high response accuracy, small switch temperature difference and a very long service life. High switching performance allows direct control of the heaters.
