Upgrade path includes LDAP and integration with a wide range of document management packages. Physical mailbox option provides up to 9 dedicated output areas for departmental network print users. Mailbox option mounts on top of finisher, saving floor space. User-friendly, highly functional network utilities including SmartNetMonitor (job balancing, job recovery, cluster printing) and DeskTopBinder (desktop document management utility with integration to copier hard drive storage facility). Scan Once Print Many capability. Eight copy memories. This allows users to scan multiple copy jobs while one job is being output. Job Build capability, which allows documents larger than the capacity of the document feeder to be created. Jobs can be built up from both the automatic document feeder and the glass copy platen, allowing pages from books and/or originals which cannot be placed in the document feeder to be incorporated into the job.

Ricohs print controller upgrade can be purchased as a print-only or as a print and scan enabled upgrade. Either option comes standard with 10/100BaseT connectivity, plus PCL5e, PCL6, PCL-XL and
Ricohs proprietary RPCS page description language. PostScript 3 is available as an optional upgrade. Ricoh also includes its own network utility, SmartNetMonitor, with the purchase of Ricoh network-enabled devices. This allows users and administrators to monitor one or more Ricoh devices around the network, with device status (offline, toner low, etc.) able to be seen from the desktop.
