Eli Janney Engineer/Producer/Mixer In 1991, DC-born and bred Eli Janney relocated to NYC as a member of the group Girls Against Boys. Honing his production skills under the masterful ear of Don Zientara, and after years of touring worldwide with the likes of Garbage and Rage Against the Machine, Eli continues to produce, record, and mix groups like Sneaker Pimps, Jet, Wilco, James Blunt, and Morcheeba.

Founded in 2000, Jamin Gilbert, Chancellor of Creativity and President of ishlab Music (recording/licensing/producing/programming firm) has created a nurturing home for artists looking to achieve their musical vision. The Music Lab is our Brooklyn-based recording studio. We utilize both vintage and modern recording equipment. Were at a crossroads for the insane talent and many musical influences New York City has to offer. The Studio has grown organically out of a community of passionate musicians and recording and mixing engineers, whove been meeting and making music here over the last decade at ishlab. Thus far, weve recorded, edited or mixed artists as diverse as M.I.A., Roberta Flack, the Cool Kids, Hard Fi, Jadakiss, Illinois, Jet, Dead Prez, DJ Sasha, Jazz Apero, and worked with organizations like the Robin Hood Foundation and the Brooklyn Historic Foundation.
