For me, The Peugeot 206 is the perfect first car. I am an 18 year old male but not what many people would call a "boy racer".

RC-20XL

Loop Station Phrase Recorder Welcome
Congratulations on your purchase of the Roland RC-20XL. This TurboStart contains step-by-step instructions that will quickly introduce you to the RC-20XLs major features.

TurboStart

Saving a Phrase
Once youve recorded a phrase, you must save it into the RC-20XLs internal memory to keep it. Use the following procedure to save a phrase: 1. After youve recorded the phrase, step on the right pedal to confirm that playback is stopped. 2. Press the WRITE button once. 3. You can save the phrase in the currently selected phrase location, or turn the PHRASE SELECT knob to choose a different one. 4. Press WRITE again. Your recording is now saved into the RC-20XLs memory.
Recording a Phrase (Loop)
The RC-20XL has the ability to record phrases on the fly. Use the following steps to record a phrase into the RC-20XL: 1. With a standard -inch instrument cable, connect your guitar (or instrument) to the INST input on the back panel of the RC-20XL. 2. Turn the PHRASE SELECT knob to choose an unused phrase. (When the green LOOP PHRASE indicator is unlit, youve selected an unused phrase.) 3. Press the MODE button repeatedly until the red indicator next to INST&MIC lights. 4. Turn the INST knob to adjust the recording level. 5. Step on the left foot pedalthe REC indicator lights to show the recording process has begun. 6. Perform the phrase. 7. When youre finished, step on the left foot pedal to stop recording. The PLAY indicator lights and the phrase you recorded begins to play automatically. You can adjust the volume of the phrase by turning the LEVEL knob. 8. To overdub another performance, step on the left pedal againthe OVERDUB indicator lights. This means the RC-20XL is recording without erasing what you had previously recorded. 9. To stop recording, step on the left foot pedal. The PLAY indicator lights and the RC-20XL plays your original performance and the overdub. Tip: You can overdub as many times as you like until the RC-20XLs internal memory runs out. 10. To undo your most recent overdub, press and hold the left foot pedal for two seconds. The OVERDUB indicator lights for one second and then flashes rapidly. The RC-20XL returns to Play mode and the overdub is erased. Note: The Undo feature only removes the most recently recorded overdub. Also, once you save the overdub into the RC-20XLs internal memory, you no longer have the ability to undo it.
Playing a Phrase Once (One-Shot)
When you record a phrase and save it into memory, the RC-20XL is set up to loop the phrase indefinitely. Use the following steps to set a phrase to play just once and then stop automatically: 1. Turn the PHRASE SELECT knob to choose the recorded phrase youd like to set up as a oneshot phrase. 2. Hold SHIFT and press the AUTO START (LOOP/ONE-SHOT) button. The indicator next to ONE SHOT PHRASE lights, showing that your phrase is now a one-shot phrase. 3. Press the WRITE button twice to save the new one-shot phrase into the RC-20XLs memory.
Adjusting the Speed (Tempo) of a Recorded Phrase
Use the following procedure to change the tempo of a phrase: 1. Turn the PHRASE SELECT knob to choose a recorded phrase. 2. Step on the left pedal to play the phrase. 3. Perform the desired tempo by tapping on the TAP TEMPO button. This changes the phrases playback speed while keeping its pitch constant. Note: There are limitations to how much the tempo of a phrase can be successfully adjusted. Its also not possible to set the tempo for phrases that are less than 1.5 seconds long. 4. If youd like to keep the new tempo of your phrase, follow the steps in Saving a Phrase above.
