Aspectizer Ever planning on doing wide-screen production? The Synergy 1s award-winning Aspectizer makes dual aspect ratio production possible. 4:3 and 16:9 sources can be connected to the Synergy 1 simultaneously and the Aspectizer will automatically correct all picture shape distortions. As the transition to widescreen proceeds, the intermix of sources of both aspect ratios is becoming increasingly common.
Custom Control Macro Keys. Macros make a production cleaner, faster and easier allowing repetitive functions, complex effects and machine control functions to be put on a button right where you need it. The Synergy 1 has twenty-four dedicated Custom Control Macro keys. These can be shifted for easy access to up to128 macros per production.

Any MLE or combination of MLEs can be controlled using an RS-232 or RS-422 interface and GVG 100, 200, or 4000 protocol. Use your editor to read and write switcher functions including input selection, pushbutton enable and disable, control settings, and memory registers. The Synergys award-winning Aspectizer makes dual aspect ratio production possible. 4:3 and 16:9 sources can be connected to Synergy simultaneously and the Aspectizer will automatically correct all picture shape distortions. As the transition to widescreen proceeds, the intermix of sources of both aspect ratios is becoming increasingly common.
Custom Control Macro Keys. Macros make a production cleaner, faster and easier allowing repetitive functions, complex effects and machine control functions to be put on a button right where you need it.
Editable Custom Control Macros. Did we mention that macros are critical to todays complex productions? A switcher machine control feature is not complete without the ability to display timecode information. Synergy provides this right on the preview monitor, when a TD selects a VTR or a Server on the preset bus, its name and timecode appear. This makes it possible to confirm that a tape or server has been correctly cued, and to determine if its stopped or playing when all you see are bars or black. This feature ties in well to the auto roll feature of Synergy, which rolls tapes with pre-roll when you take them to air. It gives you confirmation that everything is proceeding as it should.
Preview Overlay Timeclock Display. As everyone in television knows, accurate timing is critical to a great show. Synergy makes it easy. Synergys built-in count up/down timer allows you to time segments of your show right from the switcher eliminating the need for an external clock or stopwatch in many applications. The timer can be set to count down from a preset duration for timing an entire show or an individual clip. It can also be set to count up from zero every time a background transition occurs in a designated ME. TDs use it to time video clips and commercials or anything else.

Monitor Wall Interface

This software option adds the ability to interface between Synergy and a multi-image display system, providing advanced monitoring capabilities.

Using the Custom Control macro buttons, you can perform functions such as load a preset layout, change the input channel on a particular monitor, or edit dynamic text.

Serial Tally Interface

This option provides an interface between Synergy, and Under Monitor Displays and Tally systems using the industry standard Contribution Serial Tally Protocol. Parameters are configured using the Synergy menu system, and in no way affect the normal operation of the standard parallel tally interface.
Included with this option is the Look Ahead Serial Tally Protocol, which enables the operator to notify an attached serial device of a key crosspoint change before the crosspoint change actually takes place.
