SAGEM MF 46 & 56

Paris, November 2006 Sagem Communication (SAFRAN Group) 2 MF 46 models, with sheetfed scanner 3 MF 56 models, with sheetfed and flatbed scanner The MF 46 & 56 have a print speed of 20 ppm with the first page printed in 13 seconds. The copy speed is 20 cpm with the first page in 11.5 seconds. A POWERFUL MULTI-FUNCTION PRINTER Security and control, with the entry code and the Copy Fax function The MF 46 & 56 have an "entry code": this is an access code for all fax and fax-to-mail transmissions, and even copies. This function enables the use of the machine to be controlled and restricted to authorised personnel only. This can only be managed by the administrator. The Copy Fax function enables a fax to be copied automatically to a recipient during a fax or fax-to-mail transmission. An extremely useful function, this enables transmitted faxes to be controlled and sent faxes to be archived. In particular, this is very practical for faxes on general access. Double-sided printing Some MF 46 & 56 have a double-sided printer which means a lot less paper is used, costs are reduced and the environment is protected. Extremely practical, on the MF56 the scanner can also scan, copy and fax double-sided documents automatically and simply. Original and highly practical functions available on the MF 56 => the "identity card copy" function Thanks to this function, the multi-function printer can copy both sides of an A5 or smaller document to one sheet of A4, without reducing the size of the original. This function is particularly useful for hotels, temporary employment agencies, car rental companies, mobile phone shops, and so on. The network features that have been developed allow administrators to see the status of the machines from a distance and develop synergies between equipment thanks to the following functions: - LDAP: access to all directories (Fax, MF, Lotus, Outlook, etc.) from a terminal to send faxes or emails, - SNMP: recognition and management of the network MFs by an administrator: the SNMP manager (software) manages all types of peripheral installed on the network (printers, scanners, multifunctions), - MF ADMIN, which is used to configure and view the status of the SAGEM machine from any PC connected to the network, - Scan-to-FTP / Disk: to archive documents directly into a shared file on the network, or on a PC, - Network printing: the machines adapt to any type of network environment thanks to the PCL6 / PS3 print languages. ROBUST AND RELIABLE The MF 46 & 56 have a life span of pages for printing, with an average monthly volume of pages. The paper capacity is perfectly adapted to workgroups with a maximum capacity of 760 pages: 250 pages + 10 by-pass pages and an additional 500 pages as an option. The multi-function printers come with a Super G3 High Speed Fax, a 33.6 kbps speed modem, a 500-page fax memory (depending on the model), a memory with a 5-year backup and a transmission speed of 2.5 seconds. Double-sided faxes may be received. The F@x-to-mail function offers the possibility of sending scanned colour PDF documents easily and at high speed to the e-mail inbox of a selected recipient. With a Directory Card inserted directly into the multi-function, users can save their address books, keep the multi-function's settings and easily transfer their address book to another machine. COMPANION SUITE PRO SOFTWARE The Companion Suite Pro software enables the multi-function to be managed from one PC via the LAN network or a USB connection. Users may manage the sending and receiving of faxes and sms. The software also manages and archives scanned documents (with Paper Port) and allows them to be worked on later with an OCR software under Excel, Word or any other application. INTELLIGENT CONSUMABLES The Toner Save function enables toner capacity to be increased up to pages. The PlugnPrint card guarantees print quality optimisation by adapting consumables to the multi-function printers. It also avoids print stoppages by informing the user of the amount of toner left and simplifies consumable replacement management. The SAGEM remote reading system enables consumables to be managed automatically and improves the monitoring and maintenance of the installed base by anticipating requirements. Sagem Communication respects the environment and has developed a special programme to facilitate recycling.
