DA Tips and Tricks

Did you know that DeviceAnywhere automatically stores the last 100 frames of device activity? Just like a Tivo, it keeps a cache of LCD frames, which are then deleted when you switch to a new device. You can view these past frames using the Video Controls that appear just under the handset in DeviceAnywhere Studio. These controls include rewind, fast forward, and play. You can also change the number of frames that are cached by selecting File -> Options in the menu bar.

DeviceAnywhere is extending our special offer for all 4 Japanese packages for an extra month! Now until June 30th, 2008, access to Japanese packages is FREE! DA Tips and Tricks

Did you know DeviceAnywhere has a video upload feature that lets you generate a movie clip of device activity? You can generate a movie clip including audio by selecting the Export command in the Device menu. These files tend to get very large and can stall your computer. You can control the size of your file in a couple of ways. Try to keep the Upload to Quick Time or Windows Media to less than two minutes, the shorter the better. Reduce your frame rate. Turn off sound when you don't need it. And if you use this feature frequently, consider using a quad processor.
