functionality in other areas. New phones are being added all the time - for the most recent update, go to - https://www.cellulike.com/compatibility/chart.php

Getting started
Please go through this five point pre-install checklist before starting you must ensure:
2. 3. 4. 5.
That your phone is on the Approved Phones list.
That your phone is internet capable. That the DATE and TIME is set correctly on your phone. That your contacts and photos have been copied to the phone memory. That you have an email address. If these points are not checked, the application will not function correctly.
20-Apr-11
Setting the date and time
If the local date and time are not set correctly, the application will not work.
Go to: Menu > Settings > Date and Time
Checking that the phone is internet-capable
If the phone is not internet-capable, it will not work with the backup and restore application.
A simple check to see if your phone is capable of connecting to the internet, go to: Menu > Browser > Enter URL - and enter www.cellulike.com into your browser and try to connect to the website. If you can connect, your phone is internet capable.
Make sure your contacts and photos are saved to phone memory
If your contacts, photos and videos are not stored to the phones main memory, they cant be uploaded.
To copy your contacts from the SIM card to the phone memory ready for uploading, go to Menu > Phonebook > Options select Copy to phone. To copy photos and videos into the phone memory ready for uploading, go to Menu > My Files > Images > My Photos > Options > Copy to memory then either select All, or select the individual photos required for copying.
Getting connected
When you attempt to connect to the internet and get a message appear similar to these examples:
Then you will need to contact your Service Provider to allow connection to the internet. Your phone has the capability to connect to the internet, so it is just a question of making sure your telephone service provider enables this function on your phone. If you are using a prepaid phone you could either telephone your service providers helpline, usually a time consuming and frustrating business, or go to the shop where you bought the phone - or if it is one of a chain of shops, any shop in the chain - and have them do it for you. You only need to do this once.

Registration & Service Message
Note: there might be minor differences from the described behaviour depending on the device used.
The Service Message with the download link should arrive at your phone within a matter of seconds but can sometimes take longer depending on your carrier.
1. 2. 3. 4.
Register on the Cellulike website. Wait for a Service Message to arrive at your phone with the download link. Open the message and select the link (it should be automatically highlighted). Choose - Options and select Download Message or click OK to start the download.
If the Service message is delayed
Normally the Service Message arrives within 2 minutes. If it does not, you have the option to download the application directly to your phone. To do this :Open your phone browser and log on to the internet: Menu > Web > Home or Browser and enter the address www.clmobi.com. Once logged in, you will be taken through a simple six step sign-up procedure directly through your phone browser (screenshots opposite). Step three will ask you to enter your Activation Code. Once step six has been completed, click on download the application to your phone and the application will then download and install onto your phone.
Setting the APN (Access Point Name) (1)
Choose your preferred access point to connect to the internet (this has to be set to allow data transmission when backing up or restoring files).
To set the APN, go to Menu > Settings > Network Settings here you will find two options Network Selection and Connection Settings. Network Selection should be set to Automatic then go back and select Connection Settings, when opened, you will see a list of your carriers connection options, eg. your carrier-GPRS, your carrier-WAP and your carrier-internet. Select your carrier-internet and save it. If internet is not shown as an option, then while still on the Configuration Settings page, go to Options > Create and the first option will be Profile name, enter a name for the profile, eg. your name then scroll down until you find Advanced Settings select this and in the APN option box that opens, type in the word internet (do not leave it blank). The next two options are for Login ID/Username and Password, these are normally left blank*.
Contd next page
Setting the APN (Access Point Name) (2)
Note: You should check that your APN (Access Point Name) is not set to 'blank' or 'WAP', it needs to be set to Internet, (if setting to internet doesnt work, you may need to check the setting with your carrier, or click on the link to internet settings in the page text below (*This also applies to the Login/Username and Password), from here you can check the settings for your carrier and country) you need to define at least one valid access point to be able to use the application as it requires an http internet connection.
Having only a WAP connection is insufficient, the application needs an internet connection to function. There are various types of internet connection (GPRS, Edge, WiFi etc.) and you must program your phone to use one of them as mentioned above. If you clicked on the link in the SMS message and downloaded the application ok, then get a Network Error message when trying to login after starting the application, this probably means that your APN is set to WAP and not Internet. If you are not able to do it, your telephone service provider can do it for you, or you can go to the shop where you bought the phone (or any similar shop if it was one of a chain) and have them do it for you.
Confirmation of Internet connection
Once the APN (Access Point Name, sometimes referred to as Preferred Access Point) has been set and saved, select it, you will then be asked to confirm that you want to establish a secure internet connection.
Choose Yes to continue.
Download confirmation
You now need to confirm that you wish to download and install the application.
Downloading & Installation
Wait for a few seconds for the file to be downloaded and installed (download speed depends on the quality of your internet connection) - automatic installation starts once the file is downloaded.
Completing the download
Wait a few seconds for the application to download and install.
When the installation process is completed, you are given the option Yes or No. Select No to return to the main menu (because you now have to configure your phones permissions, to allow the application to function)
Programming application access (1)
In order for the application to work you must set applicable permissions before you first run the application. Some phones allow you to configure settings at the first run of the application. To set the permissions, go to the application, it will be in Applications > Games and More > My Games. When you have found it, highlight it but do not press Open, instead press Options and then Permissions here you will see all of the options for Permissions settings.
Scroll through each of these options and select Always allowed for each option. Selecting Always allowed means that you wont be asked if you wish to allow access each time you start ,or use the application.
The next page shows some more examples of the required settings to be made.
Programming application access (2)
Here are the other pages you will see when you set the applicable permissions as mentioned in the previous slide.
Using the Application
CONGRATULATIONS! Now you can start using the application and you wont have to do any more programming! Just find the application on the phone in - Applications > Games and more > My Games and click Start.
You can ignore the warning about the need to configure the phone because, if you have followed this tutorial, you will have already done all of the programming needed so just click Continue.
Logging in to the application
Enter your Username and Password to login, these are the same ones you defined when registering the phone on the Cellulike website.
When you start the application and go to login, the Username, in most cases, is normally displayed automatically, leaving you only having to enter the Password. If it is not already displayed, use the one defined when you registered your account. When you are done, click Connect. The application will try to connect to the internet.
Connecting to the server
If your Permission settings have not been set correctly, this message will be displayed.
If you get this message, it means that you did not set the application access correctly. You are still able to continue from here but if you dont wish to get this message each time when logging in, please go back to the main phone menu and refer to the earlier section of this tutorial and re-set the application permissions. Otherwise click Yes to continue.
Verification & login information
If you provided the correct credentials and an internet connection is available, information on successful verification / Login is displayed.
You can then go to the applications main menu and its various options. Your Username and Password will be stored in the applications memory. You wont need to enter them the next time you want to access the application.
Starting the backup
You now have the option to backup Contacts, Photos and Videos or All files.
For this example, scroll to Contacts and click Select. The number of contacts will then be counted and made ready for uploading. The procedure for backing up photos and videos is exactly the same.
The backup to the server
When the address book has been processed, an information message shows how many contacts will be backed up / uploaded, click Yes to continue.
The loading bars then show you the progress of the upload to the server.
Backup options
Once the backup / upload has finished and is successful, this information message is shown.
Now click on Main Menu to return to the main menu where you have the option to make a further upload of Photos and Videos, or exit the application.
