| Good camera for the price, the main reason it is slow is due to the fact the flash battery/capacitor takes long to recharge itself on auto mode. This kind of digital camera seems to be amazing if it function great. | |

| Good photo quality, awful UI Photo quality is excellent. The UI, on the other hand, is cumbersome and poorly conceived. Quality photos but PMP is realtively weak Recently there is a trend to make every electronic device into a multifunction device. | |

For safety reasons keep this product and accessories out of reach of children or animals to prevent accidents e.g.: Swallowing battery or small camera accessories. If an accident should occur, please consult a doctor immediately. There is the possibility of injury from the cameras moving parts. Battery and camera may become hot during prolonged use which might result in camera malfunction. Should this be the case, allow the camera to sit idle for a few minutes to allow it time to cool. Do not leave this camera in places subject to extremely high temperatures, such as a sealed vehicle, direct sunlight or other places of extreme variances in temperature. Exposure to extreme temperatures may adversely affect the cameras internal components and could cause a re. When in use, do not cover the camera or Charger. This may cause heat to build up and distort the camera body or cause a re. Always use the camera and its accessories in a well-ventilated area.
CAUTION
CAUTION indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in a minor or moderate injury.
Leaking, overheating, or burst battery could result in re or injury. Use battery with the correct specication for the camera. Do not short circuit, heat or dispose of battery in re. Do not insert the battery with the polarities reversed. Remove the battery when not planning to use the camera for a long period of time. It may cause burns. Do not move the camera while it is switched on when you are using the AC Charger. After use, always switch off the camera before unplugging the cable from the wall socket. Then make sure that any connector cords or cables to other devices are disconnected before moving the camera. Failure to do so may damage the cords or cables and cause a re or electric shock. Take care not to touch the lens or lens cover to avoid taking an unclear image and possibly causing camera malfunction. Avoid obstructing the lens or the ash when you capture an image. When using this camera in low temperatures, the following cases may be found. These are not camera malfunctions and usually recover at normal temperature. It takes more time to turn on the LCD monitor and the colour may differ from the subject. When changing the composition, there may be an after image on the LCD monitor. Credit cards may be demagnetized if left near case. Avoid leaving magnetic strip cards near the case. It is highly likely to result in computer malfunctions when the 20 pin connector is connected to the USB port of a PC. Never connect the 20 pin connector to USB port of a PC.

Before converting a multimedia le, check whether it plays back correctly on the Windows Media Player. The converted les are saved as *.sdc le type that can be played back on the Windows Media Player. The Samsung Converter doesnt cover every kind of codec. If a multimedia le cant play back on the Windows Media Player, install a multicodec (We recommend Full version of latest K-Lite Codec). Install the Samsung Converter again after installing the multi-codec. You can select a destination folder for each converted le. When the folder is not selected, the converted les are saved on a folder where the source le is. If you convert several les at the same time, the computer may be running slow because of the CPU capacity. In this case, add the les in the program one by one.
Computer specication, installed code and programs are the main causes of converting error. When a converting error happens, please check the following. Any codecs compatible with the les were not installed or installed incorrectly. In this case, nd a compatible codec and install it. If you do not nd any compatible codecs, install a multi-codec. If you installed various multi-codecs on your computer, it may cause converting problems. In this case, remove all codecs and install a proper multi-codec. Install a latest Windows Media Player. Visit device (PC, Graphic card, Sound card) manufacturer web-site and upgrade them with the latest version. Some kinds of multimedia les are not converted. If the converted media les are damaged, they may not play back on the camera. Unusual type of les may not be converted. The sound and scenes may not synchronise. The expected le sizes after converting a media le may vary. It depends on the computer system you use. If there is no font that is compatible with the script le on your. PC, the script is shown as Transferring the converted le to a removable disk is time consuming. It may take a long time. The duration depends on the le size. Do not use the PMP mode while driving. It may create a trafc hazard. A le that does not support fast search on the Windows Media Player cant select converting range and divide le size.
Technical specifications
Full description
The i8 obtains high picture quality by employing an 8.1 mega pixel 1/2.5" high resolution CCD sensor. Clear picture quality can be achieved even for images larger than A2. A robust mounted image processor allows for rich gradation, fast and high quality picture processing. 3x optical inner zoom lens supports impressive picture expression. The mounted inner zoom lens allows for a slim design and efficient operation. This results in enhanced usability and portability. Outstanding picture quality is achieved by the multi-coating on both sides of all lenses that effectively prevents chromatic aberration and distortion. Playback of video files such as movies and music videos are supported. PMP video playback functions include play previous file, continuous play, high speed play, pause and mute are fully supported. The image is continuously pictured twice so that color information is extracted from one and shape information is extracted from the other one to present the clear image of natural color and minimized hand tremble. Hand tremble that can occur in outdoor or indoor shooting is minimized to present the natural color and clear image (relatively better quality image in high sensitivity). The moving object is automatically detected to enable shooting of fast moving objects.
