To deal with this problem, Samsung changed the whole panel structure from rectangular to octagonal cells, resulting in greatly advanced efficiency. A brightness of 1,500cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 have been achieved by cell structure innovation, and luminous efficiency has been increased by an averC/R 5,000:1 / Brightness 1,100cd/m2 Conventional C/R 10,000:1 / Brightness 1,500cd/m2 Samsung age 24%.
