Install the Rome Flash Setup.exe file to your Laptop/PC by double clicking the file from the disc. This will install the Flash V3.0 programme which you will need to transfer the new firmware to your TV. Note: This will appear as a Snowflake icon on your Desktop. Connect the interface lead to the serial port on your Laptop/PC and connect the Jack into the Service Port at the rear of your TV.
Save the file (T_FMSLMPEU_1009.mot) from the disc to your Laptop/PC. Ensure your TV is in Standby showing a red LED. Double click the snowflake icon from your desktop to open the Flash Downloader V3.0 programme.
Select the flash size (M32C) 1 Open the T_FMSLMPEU_1009.mot file. 2

Press Connect.

Switch the TV on out of standby.
Press Program and Verify button
Once complete you should see the following message. Note: The process should take a couple of minutes
Close the flash downloader program down, disconnect the interface lead between the PC and LCD and the upgrade is complete. Connect a HDMI source to the HDMI input on your television and press the Picture size button until Just Scan is displayed. OR Menu > Picture > Size > Just Scan
You should now have a 1:1 pixel map of the source displayed. Please Note: This function works only on the 1080i (HD) or 1080p (Full HD) signal over the HDMI input. There may be some colour (a green, black) bar on the picture edge in the "Just Scan" mode. This will be a result of the output signal condition of the external device or the computer VGA card may be different according to the manufacturer. That garbage bar is not a defect but caused by the content from the external device. If you can see the edge garbage bar in the "Just Scan" mode, then switch the picture size to the "16:9" format. The Just Scan function does not work in component (PR/PB/Y) input or any other.
