Q. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY VIDEO TAPES?
A. In general it is recommended that all video tapes should be replaced after a period, no greater than 20 passes of each tape. That being 10 record and 10 play back. This will also be dependent on the quality of tape being used and that the recording equipment is in good operational condition.

DEDICATED MICROS (continued) DV-IP Decoder
As an integral part of Dedicated Micros distributed monitoring and recording solution, the DV-IP Decoder acts as a receiving station for multiple video images transmitted from the range of NetVu Connected products. Irrespective of where the video servers are situated in a network, the Decoder can receive compressed digital data using its Ethernet connection and convert the images into a format that can be displayed on a range of analogue and digital monitors. A range of DV-IP Decoder models are available with composite and HD outputs allowing you to build flexible video walls combining any combination of analogue or digital screens. The monitor outputs are able to support single or multiscreen displays with the HD model able to support native iniputs from megapixel cameras such as CamVu2000. Audio support allows connections between multiple NetVu Connected video servers and a single Decoder, enabling the operator to monitor and control audio at various sites. Whether the NetVu Connected device is streaming JPEG or MPEG-4 the DV-IP Decoder will convert these video streams into composite PAL or NTSC format video for direct connection to a CCTV monitor.

The Dedicated Micros DV-IP RT is a stand-alone high-performance recording solution designed for installations requiring high record rates, resolution quality and network capabilities. Q. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY VIDEO TAPES?
A. In general it is recommended that all video tapes should be replaced after a period, no greater than 20 passes of each tape. That being 10 record and 10 play back. This will also be dependent on the quality of tape being used and that the recording equipment is in good operational condition.

Fusion Streamer The Fusion Streamer is a high performance four channel MPEG-4 encoder that accepts analogue video and audio signals and converts them into a digital packet based IP format. This IP format can be streamed to virtually anywhere in the world via an Internet, LAN or WAN connection. The Fusion Streamer is also integrated with the Fusion DVR platform seamlessly extending the analogue recording infrastructure into the IP domain. The Fusion Streamer is also compatible with Fusion HFVMS video management software providing a way of remotely interfacing with the unit. The Fusion Streamer is a complete video server solution. These UPS systems are for conditioning the mains supply to prevent sags, brown-outs, spikes and surges, all of which can damage high-performance hard disk systems operating with a heavy duty cycle.
