Data Feed Requirements

A) Introduction The datafeed contains all information of your products listed in your website. The datafeed (product feed) allow us to automate the process of inserting your products and to promote efficiently your products.Keeping your datafeed updated ensures correct listings and correct prices ,according to your websites status. B) Feed Format We accept the following format of data files : 1.XML (Extensible Markup Language) The data feed must include 2 tables: - categories table, containing full category name and URL - products table, containing product related data. The table below shows all the required fields needed. A sample of an XML file can be found here : http://conceptusinfo.com/datafeed.xml 2.Excel The Excel files is an easy to use method for anyone but demands manual process or a format change from any type to the excel format. C) Requirements REQUIRED FIELDS

Unique ID

Description
This is the code that identifies the product and lets us match the product with similar or same ids in our database. The product title should be clear and containing important keywords. Special characters (-,:,?,/-\)are not allowed here and they will be removed by the system The name should give more details about the product. The name is the first information that is given to the visitor.It appears next to the image of a product.

Short Description (TEXT)

A short description of the product. Some of the description will be visible. At the end of the first words a link (more) will open the longer description table The long description is the whole product details including the specifications.The short description or any other description can be added here before the full specification The price that you sell the product on your website.The price should be in EURO currency. Minimum resolution 145x145.No text or watermarks are allowed that shows your websites name or any offer. GIF,PNG,JPEG type allowed Product URL will take the visitor directly to the product page on your website. The URL of the category of the product.(The latest on the category tree) The category of the product.Include the category tree like the example. D) Feed Delivery and Update Your datafeed can be delivered to us with two ways a) By email at sales@pricecy.com b) On your server.Just give us a URL of the address that the datafeed is available and we will collect it Keeping your file updated is very important so a good idea is to auto-generate and update the same file that is located on your server.If you prefer the email method please send it as soon as you generate it every time. Keep in mind that if you keep the file on a server ,do not change the file name and do not change the location of the file.
E) RoboCrawler A sophisticated software that we use to crawl your website and list your products.It is custom designed for each web shop.The process is similar to datafeed , the difference is the way that we import your products at PriceCy.com. If you have difficulties to generate a datafeed file ,we can use Robocrawler to scan and list your products.
