Samsung announced future plans of introducing its brand new digital player. The YP-U3 features a USB 2.0 connection, which offers the user easy and fast data transfer from the PC or laptop to the player, without the need of extra wires or cables.At first sight, the U3 reminds us a lot of the first generation of iPod shuffle. But this one includes an FM radio tuner with 12 preset stations. The Samsung player includes a four-line OLED display, which reminds me a lot of some Creative item. Just as you know, this Samsung Mp3 player comes in five colors including pink, white, green, black and blue, one for every music taste.On the outside, U3 looks rather compact and sports a reasonable dimension. The YP-U3 supports most of the audio file formats available on the market, such as MP3, WMA, OGG Vorbis and ASF music files, along with the music subscription services, which started to be so popular these days.As for the display, a 2-color screen will elegantly display your tracks. It won't show you any lyrics, since it wasn't created as its improved version - the E3 player which is expected in the UK in the near future; but who needs the lyrics when it offers such portable design, anyway?Moreover, this Samsung DAP includes an integrated FM tuner, which is quite useful for the users who enjoy listening to the morning news over a cup of hot coffee. Additional features include an equalizer for the sound customization and a voice recorder, which can be used to store all the funny messages and memos your friends send for your birthday. As size surely matters when it comes to fancy Mp3 players, this one seems to be a great choice, since it weighs just 22.8 grams, measures only 24.5 mm and promises up to 15 hours of playback between each charge.According to Samsung, the player is going to be available in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB versions, starting with June.
