Initial setup is a snap. The automatic input selector recognizes the incoming signal and configures itself automatically. A wide range of custom settings can be changed quickly and easily with the clearly structured onscreen menu which is available in 12 different languages. The remote control includes illuminated buttons as well as a laser pointer and mouse function.

Lamp-Control: This function automatically regulates the brightness of the projection lamps. First as a function of the input signal and second depending on the brightness of the surroundings. The advantages: A perfect image that is never too light or dark. Second, minimum fan noise because the lamps are only as bright as necessary and therefore only receive the amount of cooling that they actually require. And third, longer lamp duration because they dont have to operate at maximum output all of the time.
Power Management with Shut-offTimer: This feature offers longer lamp duration and energy savings as well. If the PLV-55WM1 does not receive an input signal, or no buttons are pressed on the remote or front panel, for extended periods (three hours) the unit is shut down automatically.

PJ-Net Organizer for control and maintenance. With the optional PJ-Net Organizer, you can operate, monitor and even maintain projectors over a network from a central location. The remote maintenance and control functions include web management, multi control function, e-mail notification and timer function. Furthermore, PJNet Organizer includes a serial interface (RS-232C) that can be used to control peripherals (DVD players, for example) over a network.
