The iphone is a nice phone, but not great. AT&T and Apple lock this phone down which is not right since we spend so much on it. I have used this phone since July and love it. It brings so many features together into one device. The keyboard is great.

Apple Earphones They are the Apple earphones. Exactly what you expect. The mic and button work with the iPhone 3G, but not the volume buttons.

Apple is making millions on a great idea but ...  I like the internet, I like videoing and taking pictures and being able to email them.

Took me a few days of googling to hack this phone to work with t-mobile. It comes with 1.1.1 OS out of the box now. So I downgraded to 1. This is my very first attempt at a smartphone so I come into the game with no BlackBerry bias.

It would be great, I agree, if the world worked from the MAC platform. I was an initial adopter of mobileme when it had problems. However, those have been ironed out and the product works as advertised.

I bought the iphone because it is "idiot proof". Being of an older generation and not too tech savvy this phone was a breeze. Amazing combination of phone/music player/video player WHEN IT WORKS! Screen suddenly dies or freezes during task. Firmware update may kill it!

Good phone, fast, better battery life, retina display Overpriced. You can get it much cheaper via ATT or even Apple direct for 699.
mindspin 4:13pm on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010
An amazing phone. In the start it looks like it is difficult to handle, first by price and then by functions. When there is no 3G HSDPA compatibility; no wireless iTunes connectivity or downloads; no external memory card slot; no stereo Bluetooth so why would ... I love my new iphone, it was very easy to sync with itunes - both music and contacts, very intuitive to learn how to do things.

Good to have spares I find these pry tools are invaluable for dismantling small electronic devices. Earphones Although the earphones work fine, one of them lost the metal outside cover within a week. Also one of the cords (right and left).

When using the watch for the first time after it is purchased, be sure to charge the K.E.S.U. (Kinetic Energy Storage Unit) sufficiently by swinging the watch from side to side before setting the time and other functions. 1. Swing the watch from side to side approximately 500 times at the rate of twice per second. This will start the watch and the second hand will move at one-second intervals. Swinging the watch 200 times further will reserve approximately one day of power. 2. Set the time/calendar and put on the watch.
Do not pull the crown out to the second click position with the intention of stopping the second hand just to save energy. By doing so, a large amount of current flows through the built-in Integrated Circuit. Therefore, pulling the crown out to the second click position will not save energy but, in fact, consume more energy than usual.
When the second hand starts moving at two-second intervals instead of the normal one-second intervals, the watch will run down in approximately 12 hours.
HOW TO SET THE TIME AND CALENDAR
1. Unscrew crown and pull out to the first click position. 2. Turn crown counterclockwise until the previous days date appears. 3. Pull crown out to the second click position. 4. Turn counter-clockwise to advance the hour and minute hands past 12:00 AM. Doing so will advance the date to the current date. 5. Set hour and minute hands to the desired time taking AM or PM into consideration. 6. Push crown back in to the unscrewed position. 7. Screw in the crown.

HOW TO USE STOPWATCH

The stopwatch can measure up to 45 minutes in 1/5 second increments. After 48 minutes, the stopwatch stops automatically. 1. Press button A to start, stop and restart the stopwatch. 2. Press button B to reset the stopwatch. 3. Do not press buttons A and B at the same time, or press one of the two buttons while keeping the other pressed.

KINETIC AUTO RELAY

This watch is equipped with an Automatic Generating System, the unique technology developed by Seiko, which generates electrical energy to power the watch by utilizing the movement of the arm or wrist, and stores it in the KINETIC ENERGY STORAGE UNIT (K.E.S.U.).

POWER SAVE FUNCTION

In order to conserve the stored electrical energy, the watch automatically enters power save mode to stop the hands from moving approximately 24 hours after the watch is taken off the wrist. In a case that the fully charged watch enters the power save mode, the time relay function of the watch remains operable for approximately four years.

TIME RELAY FUNCTION

When the watch is in power save mode, swinging the watch several times will activate the time relay function, which automatically resets the watch hands to the correct time that has been retained inside the watch.
PERPETUAL CALENDAR FUNCTION
Once set, the calendar automatically adjusts for odd and even months including February of leap years until the year 2100. While the watch is in power save mode, the perpetual calendar continues to function (the calendar continues to properly advance). Even if the watch is completely stopped due to a shortage of stored electrical energy, the calendar can be manually adjusted by simple procedures.

CHRONOGRAPH HAND POSITION ADJUSTMENT:
If the Chronograph hands are not in the 0 (12 oclock) position, follow the procedures below to set them to the the 0 (12 oclock) position. Pull the crown out to second click. Press button A for 2-3 seconds. - Chronograph 1/10-second and 1/100-second hands turn a full circle and can now be set to correct position. Press button B repeatedly to set them to the 0 position. Press button A for 2-3 seconds. - Chronograph second hand turns a full circle and can now be set to correct position. Press button B repeatedly to set it to the 0 position. Press button A for 2-3 seconds. - Chronograph minute hand turns a full circle and can now be set to correct position. Press button B repeatedly to set it to the 0 position. Note: Chronograph minute hand turns a full circle passing the 40-minute marker only during the Chronograph hand position adjustment. Push crown back to normal position.
HOW TO USE THE CHRONOGRAPH:
After 3 minutes of timing from a start, the chronograph 1/100-second and 1/10-second hands remain pointing to the 0 position until the watch is stopped or split time measurement is made, at such time, they move to display the measured time. They start to move for a maximum of three minutes after the watch is restarted or the split time display is released. 1. Set crown to normal position. 2. Press button A to Start/Stop/Restart. 3. Press button B to Split/Split Release/Reset.
CHRONOGRAPH DEMONSTRATION:
When the chronograph is reset, pressing button B for 2-3 seconds starts the demonstration of the chronograph hands. If either button A or B is pressed during a demonstration, the demonstration will be stopped and the chronograph will be reset.

CAL. 6A32

PERPETUAL CALENDAR Once set, the calendar automatically adjusts for odd and even months including February of leap years up to February 28, 2100. *After 2032, see the YEAR TABLE to confirm the actual year corresponding to the number displayed. It indicates the year, month, and date. Before using the watch: Because the calendar is preadjusted at the factory, you only need to set the time and date, and the calendar will automatically update itself. Before using the watch, set the time and date correctly following the procedures in TIME/DATE SETTING.

TIME/DATE SETTING

Pull out to second click when Second hand is at the 12 oclock position. Turn in either direction to set the time and date. Push back completely in accordance with a time signal.
3. If the calendar indication is not correct after setting the time and date, check that AM/PM is correctly set. If the calendar indication is still not correct even though AM/PM is correctly set, the initial position of the calendar may not be set correctly. In such a case, adjust the initial position of the calendar following the procedures in "HOW TO CHECK AND ADJUST THE CALENDAR."
HOW TO CHECK AND ADJUST THE CALENDAR
Follow the procedures below to check the calendar, and if necessary, to adjust it. Do not check and adjust the calendar between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. If the calendar is checked and adjusted between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., the date may not change properly. In such case, first change the time to any time outside this period, and then set the date. After that, move the hands back to the correct time. If the crown is pulled out to the second click while the numeral in the calendar frame is advancing or moving back, the second hand may be misaligned from the 12 oclock position (initial position). The button and crown operation cannot be made while the numeral in the calendar frame is advancing or moving back. Press the button or turn the crown after the numeral stops. If the watch is left untouched for more than 2 or 3 minutes while checking or adjusting the calendar, the watch will resume normal movement. In such a case, start again from the beginning of the procedures in HOW TO CHECK AND ADJUST THE CALENDAR. Do not leave the crown at the first or second click when you use the watch, as this will shorten the battery life.
1. The date changes between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. while the watch is in operation or when advancing the hands by turning the crown clockwise, and between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. when moving the hands back by turning the crown counterclockwise. Therefore, note the following. [AM/PM checking] When setting the hour hand, check that AM/PM is correctly set. *When setting the time by advancing the hands, turn the hour hand past the 1 oclock marker. If the date advances, the time is set for the AM period. If it does not change, the time is set for the PM period. *When setting the time by turning back the hands, turn the hour hand past the 9 oclock marker. If the date moves back, the time is set for the PM period. If it does not change, the time is set for the AM period. 2. When setting the minute hand, advance it 4 to 5 minutes ahead of the desired time and then turn it back to the exact time.

Pull out to first click.

BUTTON Press for 2 seconds. The second hand will move and stop at the 12 oclock position (initial position). The numeral in the calendar frame will automatically move and stop to show 1.
* If the second hand is not set at the 12 oclock position, turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise to set the second hand to the 12 oclock position. * The second hand advances or moves back in 1-second increments when the crown is turned until it clicks.
2. The initial position of the second hand

4. Current date

1. Starting the check and adjustment of the calendar
3. The initial setting of the calendar BUTTON Press once. The numeral in the calendar frame will swing and stop (the numeral remains as 1).
* If the numeral is not set to 1, turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise until 1 appears in the calendar frame, and place 1 in the middle of the frame by turning the crown slowly.
BUTTON Press once. The second hand will move back and stop at the 9 oclock position. The numeral in the calendar frame will return to the current date.
* If the numeral in the calendar frame does not return to the current date, turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise to set the numeral to the current date. * If the crown is turned continuously, the numeral moves quickly. To stop the numeral, turn the crown in the reverse direction until it clicks once.

5. Current month

BUTTON Press once. The second hand will advance and stop at the 10 oclock position. The current month will be shown in the calendar frame.
* If the current month is not shown in the calendar frame, turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise to set the numeral to the current month (the numeral changes between 1 and 12).
7. Completing the check and adjustment of the calendar CROWN Push back in to the normal position. The watch will resume normal movement (the watch hands will show the current time again). The numeral in the calendar frame will return to the current date.

6. Current year BUTTON Press once. The second hand will advance and stop at the 11 oclock position. The last 1 or 2 digits of the current year will be shown in the calendar frame.
* If the current year is not shown in the calendar frame, turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise until the last 1 or 2 digits of the current year are shown. * After 2032, see the YEAR TABLE to confirm the actual year corresponding to the number displayed.

BATTERY CHANGE

The miniature battery which powers your watch should last approximately 4 years. However, because the battery is inserted at the factory to check the function and performance of the watch, its actual life once in your possession may be less than the specified period. When the battery expires, be sure to replace it as soon as possible to prevent any malfunction. For battery replacement, we recommend that you contact an AUTHORIZED SEIKO DEALER and request SEIKO SR927SW(SB-AP) battery.
* If the calendar checking function is used frequently, the battery life may be less than the specified period.
Battery life indicator When the second hand starts moving at two-second intervals instead of the normal one-second interval, replace the battery with a new one as soon as possible. Otherwise, the watch will stop operating in a couple of days
* The time accuracy is not affected even if the second hand is moving at two-second intervals. * While the second hand is moving at two-second intervals, the date will not change. This is not a malfunction.

CAUTION

Never short-circuit, heat or otherwise tamper with the battery, and never expose it to fire. The battery may burst, become very hot or catch fire. The battery is not rechargeable. Never attempt to recharge it, as this may cause battery leakage or damage to the battery.
Checking and adjustment of the calendar after battery change After the battery is replaced with a new one, be sure to check that the calendar is correct. If the watch does not indicate the year, month and date correctly, adjust the calendar. (See HOW TO CHECK AND ADJUST THE CALENDAR.)
