Preface

Telewarm G1 / G1-D is a telephone controlled switch, for remote activation and deactivation of electric devices, with the telephone. Controlled device can be activated or deactivated from any part of the world, as long as we have telephone with tone dialling (DTMF). Telephone can be stationary or mobile. Telewarm can only be used by persons, who know Telewarms phone number and identification code.
Telewarm G1 can be used to control the devices, that meet all the requirements and safety regulations, and are intended for operation without human supervision.
If not stated otherwise, these instructions apply for both Telewarm editions.

Establishing a telephone line
Call the phone number, on which the Telewarm is connected. After certain number of dial tones, setted by user (see chapter Changing the nr. of dial tones), Telewarm automatically activates and informs user with three repeated signals. If we call Telewarm from phone central with pulse (decade) dial, the telephone must be changed to tone dial (DTMF), after the line is established. Usually this is done with switch or by pressing the key. In case we dont have telephone with tone dialling, we can use a special device that generates tones (tone generator).
Entering the identification code
After establishing the phone line with Telewarm, we have 30 seconds of time, to enter the identification code. If we dont enter the correct code in this time, Telewarm automatically disconnects the phone line. After entering the correct identification code, we hear a tone signal, that signalises state of Telewarm (see chapter Tone signalisation). If we dont hear a tone signal after entering the identification code, the identification code must be re-entered. If after three dial attempts, the identification code isnt entered correctly, Telewarm automatically disconnects line and goes offline for next 30 minutes.
Activation of controlled device
Telewarm will activate the controlled device, when we press key. Command is executed, if we hear one quickly repeating tone signal (see chapter Tone signalisation).
Deactivation of controlled device
Telewarm will deactivate the controlled device when we press key #. Command is executed, when we hear one slowly repeating tone signal (see chapter Tone signalisation).

Activation with limited duration
Telewarm will activate the controlled device when we enter 0nn and automatically deactivate the controlled device, after setted time of nn minutes expires. Command is executed, when we hear double quickly repeated tone signal (see chapter Tone signalisation).

Activation with delay

Telewarm will start to count the setted time, when we enter 0nn# and automatically activate the device, after setted time of nn minutes expires. Command is activated when we hear double slowly repeated tone signal (see chapter Tone signalisation).
Disconnecting the phone line
When finished working with the Telewarm (status check up, activation or deactivation), disconnect the phone line. You can do that on two ways: - hang up the phone (Telewarm will automatically end the connection in less than 30 seconds), - type in 000 (Telewarm immediately disconnects the phone line).
Light for indication of the Telewarm G44 operation mode
Signal light indicates Telewarm output port state. Light blazes: - device connected to the Telewarm G1 is activated, - Telewarm G1-D output port is in short circuit, Light is off: - device, connected to Telewarm G1 is deactivated, - Telewarm G1-D output port is open (open contacts).
Manual activation and deactivation of the controlled device
Telewarm can be manually activated or deactivated, by holding the button MODE for 3 seconds.

Tone signalisation

For easy use, all the Telewarm functions are signalised with the tone signals. Programming or code entry

Error by entry 1 sec

Output port activation Time limited activation of output port 2 sec Output port deactivation
Delayed output port activation

Identification code

Identification code is 4 digit number from 0000 to 9999 that enables misuse of Telewarm by unauthorized person. Factory pre-setted identification code is 1234 (also when Telewarm is reseted).

Nr. of dial tones

Telewarm is together with the phone parallel connected to the phone line. If Telewarm activates on a first dial tone, the use of phone or fax is impossible. With programming, we set nr. of dial tones, by which the Telewarm will activate and take the phone call. Number of dial tones can be setted between 0 and 9, where 0 means 10 dial tones. Factory pre-set nr. of dial tones (also after reset) is 8.

SETTING MANUAL

Modifying the identification code and nr. of dial tones
Telewarm is programmed with the telephone. For programming the Telewarm is used tone dialing, what in case of calling from public phone, might result as a call to wrong or invalid phone number. If the phone is connected to a public phone central with tone dial, we suggest that you establish a phone line first. We can do that, on the following way. We call a friend and ask him to disconnect the line. Now we can program the Telewarm, without fear of calling invalid or wrong number. If the phone is connected to a public phone central with pulse dial, there is no fear of calling wrong or invalid phone number and no outside connection is needed for programming. - We pick up the phone where we hear the tone for free line. - We establish the phone line and ask the called person to hang up the phone. In phone is now no signal. - We press key MODE 10 times. We hear three short repeated beeps. - We insert new identification code (4 digits) and number of dial tones (from 0 to 9, where 0 means 10 dials) by which the Telewarm will activate ant take the call. Example: 54027 (identification code is 5402; number of dial tones is 7) 29130 (identification code is 2913; number of dial tones is 10) - After the new identification code entry, a slowly repeated tone signal indicates that the Telewarm is deactivated. - Now is possible to test the Telewarms operation or to disconnect the line.
To reset or restore the factory settings, do the following: Press key MODE 10 times and then at least 30 seconds dont press no key. Factory settings are the following: - identification code: 1234 - number of dial tones: 8
