Of Ganja from their possession. This refers to Sitalkuchi PS c/no 21 dt 13/2/08 u/s 20(b)(i) NDPS Act. 2) On 13/2/08 Nanda Kumar PS Police arrested one Rahim Ali (BD national) s/o Box of Chakdah, Dist Nadia and seized 2 Pcs. of 500/- forged notes from his possession while he was purchasing apple from a fruit shop. This refers to Nandakumar PS c/no 15 dt 13/2/08 u/s 489B/489C IPC & 14(b) F.Act. 3) On 19/2/08 Nagrakata PS Police arrested one Biren Kujur (38) s/o Lt. Sokha Kujur of 1 No. Line Rope TG, PS Nagrakata and 3 others and seized one single barrel Muzzle loaded country made gun, 13 Nos. of pellets, gun powder 50 Grms., one saw , one khukri etc. from their possession. The miscreants entered Nakey Dara Forest in Bhutan with above noted articles for committing crime. This refers to Nagrakata PS c/no 47 dt 19/2/08 u/s 25/27 Arms Act.

13) On 4/3/08 Berhampore PS Police arrested one Hafijul Sk. @ Fajij (46) s/o Lt. Abdul Mannan of Barua Uttarpara, PS Beldanga, 2) Md. Yusuf (30) s/o Golam Mahammad Bhat of Sayeed Sahab, PS Kanwar, Dist Srinagar (J&K), 3) Monjur Ahamed (35) s/o Sanaullah Mir of Tamangmarg, PS Do, Dist Baramula (J&K) and 4) Firoz Ahammed Lone (28) s/o Md. Ramjan Lone of Hayderpara Badgoon Dist Badhon (J&K) and seized Fake Indian Currency Notes amounting to Rs. 40,000/- from their possession. This refers to Berhampore PS c/no 111 dt 4/3/08 u/s 489B/489C/34 IPC. 14) On 5/3/08 Hanskhali PS Police arrested one Sunil Bairagi s/o rattan Bairagi of Ghughurgachi, PS Hanskhali, Dist Nadia with one M/Cycle and seized Fake Indian Currency notes amounting to Rs. 90,000/- from his possession. This refers to Hanskhali PS c/no 85 dt 5/3/08 u/s 489B/489C IPC. 15) On 4/3/08 around 20:30 hrs., some unknown miscreants committed dacoity in the Petrol Pump of Hindustan Petrol Pump at Ramchandrapur, Dhagapara, PS Tehatta in respect of cash Rs. 52,123,74/- (approx) and other articles. This refers to Tehatta PS c/no 88 dt 4/3/08 u/s 395/397 IPC. 16) On 5/3/08 around 10:00 hrs., one Suman Singh (45), an employee of the Service Station committed theft in respect of cash rs. 65,000/- from that Service Station. This refers to Shibpur PS c/no 73 dt 5/3/08 u/s 381 IPC. 17) On 6/3/08 Canning PS Police arrested one Nazibur Sk. (240 s/o Sirajul Sk. of Uttar Latiferpara, PS Lagola, 2) Raju Sardar @ Rawson (32) s/o Lt. Abed Ali Sardar of Banamalipur, Charakdanga, PS Canning with 78 Grms. Of Heroin. (2) On 11/2/08 around 3:30 hrs near Nimpura, 11 unknown miscreants snatched 12 mobile sets from the passengers, drivers and conductors of OSRTC No 1691/1980 & Vehicle No OR09J/1232 and also looted away cash Rs 3.3 Lacks. (5) On 17/2/08 around 2:30 hrs, while one Balder Yadav s/o Jhaman of Barisakhi PS Itkhori dist Chalra, Jharkhand, driver of Truck No HR-38 J/2799 loaded with 43.6 Mt Iron was proceeding towards Haldia and on way at Kasthakhali on NH-41, PS Bhabanipur one red colour Maruti Van obstructed the said truck and thence 4/5 unknown miscreants got down from the Maruti Van and entired into the drivers cabin of the truck and forcibly took the driver and khalashi in the said Maruti Van and tied their hand and eyes with Napkin and started the Maruti Van for unknown destination. (6) On 18/2/08 around 13:00 hrs some unknown miscreants committed theft in respect of cash Rs 60,000/- which was kept in the bag of Sarkat Ali Mondal on way in Krishnanagar bound bus bearing no WJE-1361 which was detected at the time of payment at Fertilizer shop located at P W D Morem PS Kotwali. (7) On 18/2/08 around 12:30 hrs some unknown miscreants snatched away one Folio Bag containing cash Rs 5,94,134,20/- along with other articles and documents from one Swarup Garia of Makhalia, Bakrahat PS Bishnupur near D H Road, opposite to Behala Gold Factory by a black colour Motor Cycle No 2248. (8) On 18/2/08 around 10:00 hrs in front of Refil Petrol Pump on NH-6 PS Liluah, 3 unknown miscreants riding on a red colour H/Honda Motor Cycle looted away cash Rs 2,85,850/- kept in a attach case from one Biswanath Singh (46) s/o Lt Indradeo Singh, a staff of Refil Petrol Pump who was going to deposit the said money to Bank. (9) On 18/2/08 around 15:00 hrs while one Manoj Jarlenia of Neamatpur PS Kulti was proceeding to SBI, Chinakuri Branch by his Motor Cycle with a bag containing cash of Rs 1,50,000/- and one mobile phone was detained by three unknown persons coming at the same direction in a new motor cycle without number plate and took away the said bag from his possession with that cash and one mobile phone. (10) On 18/2/08 at 23:30 hrs some unknown miscreants with arms and ammunition entered into the shop of Kanchan Saha at Dakbanglow More and showing their arms forcibly took away one Laptop, some cash, some mobile phones etc from his shop. This refers to Barasat PS c/no 116 dt 19/2/08 u/s 394 IPC. (11) On 22/2/08 between 3:00 hrs and 4:10 hrs some unknown miscreants entered into Sarat Exports Pvt. Ltd. Factory with arms and looted away Hosiery Fabrics(approx 5000/6000 Kgs) worth Rs 15,00,000/- , some mobile phones etc from the said factory. (12) On 25/2/08 between 14:00 hrs and 14:30 hrs one Sri Tapas Kar (Branch Managar of Core E-Service Ltd) s/o Tarak Nath Kar of Bidhanpally, Nabagram, PS Uttarpara, Dist Hooghly went to hotel for eating then one staff of the one Core E-Service Ltd. Rainagar, PS Diamond Harbour, District South 24-Pgs, namely Swapan Kr Naskar came to his office room and after breaking the drawer lock stole away carh Rs 63,816/-. 7 (13) Between 23/2/08 and 25/2/08 around 9:00 hrs a theft was committed by some unknown miscreants in respect of cash Rs 3,83,991,50/- from the Bank of India of T N Mukherjje Road Branch, after breaking main collapsible gate. This refers to Dankuni PS c/no 25 dt 25/2/08 u/s 457/380 IPC. (14) While one Sushil Kr Mondal of Bhaktinagar PS do while returning from Phansidewa with cash Rs 1,50,000/- to Siliguri to purchase manure by M/Cycle, 2 unknown miscreants stopped his M/Cycle and requested to give a lift. Accordingly one of above two playing M/Cycle another to seat on the back and shew pistol when reaching lonely place the tow miscreants snatched away the said cash and fled away. (15) On 25/2/08 one Fulen Sengupta and Mithun Sengupta of Odlabari PS Mal damaged Godown of one Ful Hossain of same area and also stole away cash Rs 40,000/- from him. (16) On 1/3/08 around 12:30 hrs while one Golam Mostafa of Natial PS Raninagar was coming from Berhampore in a Bus No WB-57/0018 on way at Nowda, 2/3 unknown miscreants snatched away his bag containing cash Rs 1,20,000/- and Bank Draft of Rs 1,00,000/- and one Moble Phone and fled away. (17) On 29/2/08 between 13:00 hrs and 14:05 hrs one Debasish Basu of 130/A/B Goswamipara PS Bally entered into Dena Bank Salkia Branch with a bag containing cash Rs 1,00,000/- for depositing the same to the Bank. (18) On 1/3/08 around 18:30 hrs 4, unknown miscreants being armed with dagger entered into the house of one Raj Kr Shaw of Krishna Road, Dasarathpally, behind Payel Cinema Hall and looted away cash Rs 50,000/- and gold ornaments worth Rs 60,000/- to 70,000/- (approx) on the point of dagger. On wasy at Kashibari under PS Chakulia, 6/7 unknown miscreants were proceeding in a Tata Sumo from opposite direction intercepted his car and at the point of fire arms and other lethal weapons looted away the said cash which contained in a Steel Box and fled away. 4. Enforcement Branch, West Bengal. :1) In pursuance of a source information the E.B. Officers and men along with the force of Chakdah P.S. and the representatives of Angel Digital Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata organized a raid on 22/2/08 in the house of Biswajit Dey s/o Santosh Dey of Dakhin Chanduria, Simurali under P.S. Chakdah and seized huge quantity of Pirated Cassettes, Copier Machines-4 Nos. TV Set-1 Nos. and C.D. Player-1 Pcs. and B.F. Cassettes worth Rs.
22 3,50,000/-. This refers to Chakdah PS c/no 98/08 dt 22/2/08 u/s 63/68A Copy Right Act.1957. Three accused Persons were arrested. 2) On a complaint lodged by Ganesh Pr. Agarwal owner of Priya Company, Jagacha, PS Howrah officers of Enforcement Branch held a raid in the office and factory of Priya Dalmut and Brothers at Manasatala, GIP Colony, P.S. Jagacha, Howrah for running a business of manufacturing and selling of Chanachur using the name of Priya Company and thus infringed the Copy Right Act of the original Priya Company. This refers to Jagacha PS c/no 36/08 dt 25/2/08 u/s 63/65 Copy Right Act, 1957. Huge quantity of seizure was made viz. Chanachur-02 Tons 855 Kgs. and 173 Kgs. of new empty Poly packets having print of Priya. The Accused Tarun Kr. Sadhukhan was arrested. Value of seized commodity is worth of Rs. 1,29,000/-. 3) On the written complaint of one Tarapada Roy s/o Lt. Jasoda Ranjan Roy, Inspector of Food & Supplies, Baruipur against one Meghnath Saha s/o Lt. Bagala Prasanna Saha of Uttar Ukilpara, PS Baruipur for illegal storing of Wheat. A raid was held by the E.B. Officers, in cooperation with Inspector, Food & Suppliers and B.D.O., Baruipur in the Wheat godown and on verification it was found that 454 Bags of Wheat were illegally stocked. On scrutiny it was found that 359 Bags G.R. Wheat and remaining 95 Bags Wheat were non G.R. Wheat (Each bag marking FCI Gunny Bags). The Godown owner could not produce any satisfactory account for storing the excess 95 Bags of Wheat. A case was started vide Baruipur PS c/no 87/08 dt 29/2/08 u/s 7(i)(a)(ii) of Act X/55. Value of 95 Bags of Wheat is Rs. 45,000/-. 5. Interesting detections by CID, West Bengal :1. On 25.03.2008 in pursuance of a secret source information, Inspector Manik Kumar Banerjee, SI Kalyan Banerjee, SI Tirthankar Sanyal and forces of Narcotic Cell, CID, West Bengal held a raid at Mirgahar under PS Monteswar, District Burdwan and arrested one Matabbar Sk ( 43) s/o Lt Gilla Rahaman of Mirgahar, PS-Monteswar District-Burdwan and seized 15 kgs Ganja. This refers to Monteswar PS Case No. 31 dated 25.03.2008 u/s 20(b)(ii)(B)/25 NDPS Act. 2. On 11.08.2004 some unknown miscreants committed dacoity at Panchkhuri Branch of Central Bank of India and looted Rs. 5,78,430/- and about 650 bank drafts. Later on they used 78 stolen drafts till date and purchased several vehicles and other goods from different states of India. Over this incidence Kotwali PS ( West Midnapore) Case No. 220 dated 11.08.2004 u/s 395 IPC was started. A team of officers was formed from CID Head Quarter at Bhabani Bhaban for rendering assistance to Kharagpur DD for the investigation of the said case and on 12.03.2008 SI Krishnendu Ghosh of DRBT Cell, SI Atish Chatterjee and SI Sougata Ghosh of MTS Section left for Jharkhand in connection with this case and they were succeed to arrest one of the miscreants namely Dhiraj Jalan s/o Shyam Jalan of Babulal Bhaban, Harmu Road, PO-Sahid Chak, PS-Sukhdeoganj, District Ranchi, Jharkhand from his house on 20.03.2008 who confessed his guilt indicating himself and also disclosed the names of co-accused persons. He was also identified. 3. On 20.03.08 acting on a specific tip off regarding trafficking of minor girls for commercial sexual exploitation, Insp. Shri Kamal Chowdhury of Anti Human Trafficking Unit of CID WB with a team of officers and men and the lady officers of CID assisted by 2 NGO members had been to Ramnagar and with the assistance of Ramnagar PS staff intercepted one vehicle, Tata Sumo having Registration No WB02N/3949 at 21.45 hrs. That vehicle was proceeding towards Digha. In the vehicle there were five minor girls, two male persons and one female and the driver was found present. On question all the five minor girls disclosed their identity as :-

Puja Chowdhury (22) w/o Anwar all are Bangladeshi National and stated that they were procured by the male members and the lady from their native place in Bangladesh and they forcibly compelled them into commercial sexual exploitation against their will and may be sold out in lieu of money against their will. The entire thing was happened without the knowledge of their parent. On the above ground, Dy. SP (Spl.) CID, Shri Deb Narayan Basu lodged suo-moto complaint and on the basis of which Ramnagar PS Case No 37 dt.20.03.08 u/s 363/366A/366B/372 IPC read with 4/5/9 ITPA had been started against three male traffickers including the driver of the vehicle namely :1. 2. 3. 4. Padip Jha s/o Krishna Kanta Jha of of 67 B Netaji Subash Rd. Kol- 1 PS Battala. Kalu @ Ajay Kr. Singh (24) s/o Kalu Singh of 9 Nilmoni Mitra St. Kol- 6 PS Battala. Ganesh Ch. Dhar (35) s/o Lt. Arun Ch. Dhar.of 51/52 Lock Gate Rd., Kol-2, PS Chitpur and one female (Pimp) namely Payel Chowdhury (25) w/o Pradeep Kr. Jha of 6A Rabi Sankar Lane of PS Battala. All the four persons had been arrested and the victim girls were recovered. Insp.Shri Kamal Chowdhry OC AHTU , CID,WB is investigating the case. In this case the following articles were seized also :1. One Tata Sumo bearing the registration No. WB 02N/3949 along with necessary documents 2. 3 cell phones. 3. Six cassette or disk seemed to be cassette of Blue film 4. 3 Bags containing the wearing appeals and cosmetics. 5. One bottle of wine (vodka), brand- Majic Moments. 6. Two stripes of MALA-D and ECROZ (contraceptive pills ) 5. Ref: Shibpur P.S. case no 86 dated 17/03/2008 U/S 363/364A/34 IPC One Sharad Kumar Buchasia S/o Lt Matrumal Buchasia of Ideal Apartment ,BlockA,Flat-3F at 152,Raja Rajendralal Road Kol-10 P.S- Beleghata lodged a written complaint to the effect that his elder brother Sreeram Buchasia of Ganges Garden, 106 Kishan Chandra Singha Road, Block-A2, Flat-3rd Floor, P.S. Shibpur, Howrah-711102 left his home on 08/03/2008 at 06:30 P.M. Later, on the next day evening his relatives received a ransom call of Rs 1.5 crore from unknown persons demanding that Sreeram Buchasia is in their custody, since then he did not return to his home. In this connection the above noted case under reference has been started. The control of the case has been assumed by CID WB on 18.03.08.During investigation, post kidnapping ransom threatening of the accused persons to the family members of the victim person and inter conversation of the accused persons made it evident that accused Shadab Siddique is the mastermind of this kidnapping and Khalid Khan is one of his associates.Having smell of their arrest the other associates absconded from the locality. A racket of organized kidnappers of Asansol, Dhanbad Mumbai is involved into this crime. The victim was released by the accused persons on obtaining ransom money of Rs 40 lakhs.
