The AR-M351U/N can be equipped with an optional DSPF, which scans both pages of two-sided documents up to A3 (11" x 17") in size in one pass. Doing away with the reversing circuit minimises paper misfeeds and vastly improves reliability. With a quick scanning speed of 60 pages per minute for two-sided originals and 37 pages for single-sided in Standard mode, the AR-M351U/N finishes even large projects quickly.

A3 Network Scanning

The 50-sheet DSPF and optional AR-NS3 Network Scanner Expansion Kit turn the AR-M351U/N into an ultra-efficient network scanner. With the touch of a few buttons, you can choose one of four ways to distribute your scanned documents. Scan to HDD sends scanned images to the AR-M351U/Ns hard disk to use in the Document Filing function (see page 6). Scan to E-mail allows you to send documents as an attachment to any email address over the Internet. You can easily enter an e-mail subject title or file name from the touch-screen LCD. Scan to FTP Server lets you scan a document directly to an FTP server for special applications such as company-wide posting or archiving. Scan to Desktop enables you to send scanned documents directly to your computer desktop. And with Sharpdesk (see below), Sharps powerful but easy-to-use document management software, editing and managing scanned documents is easier than ever.

Limitations can be set for each account and each function. Settings can be made from the operation panel or through a Web page. Plus, a 5digit password ensures that only authorised users access the operation panel and use the AR-M351U/N.
