Sir, I am directed to inform you that the Directorate of Economics & Statistics desires to award comprehensive Annual Repair/ Maintenance contract of Sharp/ Panasonic fax machines of the Directorate (list enclosed) for the year 2011-12 i.e w.e.f 1st April, 2011 to 31st March, 2012 on the terms and conditions mentioned in the Annexure-I. The;machines can be inspected during the office hours on any working day from 23rdMarch, 2011 to 29th March, 2011. Interested parties may furnish their rate
quotations to Chief Administrative Officer, Directorate of Economics & Statistics, 119
F Wing, Shastri Bhavan, New Delh; on or before 11.00 A.M. of 30.03.2011 along-with earnest money deposit of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of Pay and Accounts Officer, Directorate of Economics & Statistics without which the quotations will not be considered. The quotations would be opened on the same day at 3.00 P.M. in room No. 119 F Wing, Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi in the presence of the tenderers who wish to be present. Annexure-I

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMPREHENSIVE AMC OF FAX MACHINES
I. The Fax machines will be available for annual maintenance contract at Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Shastri / Krishi Bhavan.The firm shall be responsible for maintenance of the machines. The work will primarily be carried out inthe premises of the Directorate. Only such work, which is not possible to execute in the premises of the Directorate,would be allowed to be done a"thefirm's workshop.withprior written permission of the

Ministry.

2. In case the repair is needed at workshop,cost of carriage and arrangementwill be borne by the firm. 3. For repair time exceeding 24 hours from reportingtime (excluding holidays) standby equipment at no extra cost shall be provided by firm irrespectiveof the fact whether the defective machine are to be repaired in Shastri / Krishi Bhavan or to be taken out. 4. Preventive maintenance schedule shall be submittedin advance.
5. AMC shall be carried out during office hours (0930 to 1800hrs) on working days.of Directorate of Economics & Statistics.However, In case of urgency, service may be needed on holidays and even after office hours also for. which no separate cost shall be paid. 6. The equipment availability shall be maintained at the satisfactionof the uset. 7. AMC will be comprehensive and include all repair, maintenance and replacement except consumables i.e toner/cartridge/film/paper. 8. The payment will be made in equal quarterly installmentsafter award of contract subject to satisfactory services. 9. Tax will be deducted at source, as per relevant rules and procedures. 10.The rates quoted by you will be valid for the entire period of AMC.

11. If at any stage, the services of the firm are not found satisfactory or the firm has failed to provide services and rectify the defect within 24 hours the AMC will liable to be terminated by the Directoratewithout assigning any reason, whatsoever. 12.Thesuccessfultenderer will be required to furnish a DD/FRD of Rs. 2,000/- as security in the name of Pay and Accounts Officer, Directorate of Economics & Statistics at the time of award of the contract which will be released to the contractor on.-satisfactorycompletion of the contract. The DD of Rs. 1,000/submittedearlier. be~adjustedin the security amount ofRs. 2,000/-. can.:"
