Important Safety Precautions (Continued)
CleaningUnplug the AC cord from the AC outlet before cleaning the product. Use a damp cloth to clean the product. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Water and moistureDo not use the product near water, such as bathtub, washbasin, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool and in a wet basement. The LCD panel used in this product is made of glass. Therefore, it can break when the product is dropped or applied with impact. Be careful not to be injured by broken glass pieces in case the LCD panel breaks.
Heat sourcesKeep the product away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves and other heat-generating products (including amplifiers).
StandDo not place the product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod or table. Doing so can cause the product to fall, resulting in serious personal injuries as well as damage to the product. Use only a cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the product. When mounting the product on a wall, be sure to follow the manufacturers instructions. Use only the mounting hardware recommended by the manufacturer. When relocating the product placed on a cart, it must be moved with utmost care. Sudden stops, excessive force and uneven floor surface can cause the product to fall from the cart.
Do not place vases or any other water-filled containers on this product. The water may spill onto the product causing fire or electric shock.
To prevent fire, never place any type of candle or naked flames on the top or near the TV set.
To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not place the AC power cord under the TV set or other heavy items.
VentilationThe vents and other openings in the cabinet are designed for ventilation. Do not cover or block these vents and openings since insufficient ventilation can cause overheating and/or shorten the life of the product. Do not place the product on a bed, sofa, rug or other similar surface, since they can block ventilation openings. This product is not designed for built-in installation; do not place the product in an enclosed place such as a bookcase or rack, unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturers instructions are followed.
The LCD panel is a very high technology product with 921,600 thin film transistors, giving you fine picture details. Due to the very large number of pixels, a few non-active pixels may occasionally appear on the screen as a fixed point of blue, green or red. This is within product specifications and does not constitute a fault.
Do not display a still picture for a long time, as this could cause an afterimage to remain.

IMPORTANT SERVICE SAFETY PRECAUTION
Service work should be performed only by qualified service technicians who are
thoroughly familiar with all safety checks and the servicing guidelines which follow: WARNING
1. For continued safety, no modification of any circuit should be attempted. 2. Disconnect AC power before servicing. CAUTION: FOR CONTINUED PROTECTION AGAINST A RISK OF FIRE REPLACE ONLY WITH SAME TYPE F6700 (1.25A, 250V), F6701 (1.25A, 250V), F6702 (1.25A, 250V), F6703 (1.25A, 250V) F6704 (1.25A, 250V) AND F7701 (3.15A, 250V) FUSE. Connect the resistor connection to all exposed metal parts having a return to the chassis (antenna, metal cabinet, screw heads, knobs and control shafts, escutcheon, etc.) and measure the AC voltage drop across the resistor. All checks must be repeated with the AC cord plug connection reversed. (If necessary, a nonpolarized adaptor plug must be used only for the purpose of completing these checks.) Any reading of 0.75V peak (this corresponds to 0.5 mA. peak AC.) or more is excessive and indicates a potential shock hazard which must be corrected before returning the monitor to the owner.
BEFORE RETURNING THE RECEIVER (Fire & Shock Hazard)
Before returning the receiver to the user, perform the following safety checks: 1. Inspect all lead dress to make certain that leads are not pinched, and check that hardware is not lodged between the chassis and other metal parts in the receiver. 2. Inspect all protective devices such as non-metallic control knobs, insulation materials, cabinet backs, adjustment and compartment covers or shields, isolation resistor-capacitor networks, mechanical insulators, etc. 3. To be sure that no shock hazard exists, check for leakage current in the following manner. Plug the AC cord directly into a 220~240 volt AC outlet. Using two clip leads, connect a 50k ohm, 10 watt resistor paralleled by a 0.15F capacitor in series with all exposed metal cabinet parts and a known earth ground, such as electrical conduit or electrical ground connected to an earth ground. Use an AC voltmeter having with 5000 ohm per volt, or higher, sensitivity or measure the AC voltage drop across the resistor.
