Katun Organic Photoconductor (OPC) Drum
for use in Sharp SD-2060/2260/3062 Copiers
(Replaces OEM PN SD-365DR)
This OPTIMA OPC drum from Katun is designed with advanced OPC coating materials to provide extended life versus the corresponding OEM or standard Katun OPC drum. To ensure you receive optimum performance and maximum life with this OPTIMA OPC drum, it is important to perform all OEM-recommended drum replacement and adjustment procedures in the proper sequence. For your convenience, here is a summary of these OEM-recommended procedures: 1. Perform simulation 44-01 and confirm the standard value for the Advanced Process Control inhibit/enable feature (Sharp SD-2060/3062 standard value = 7; Sharp SD-2260 standard value = 127). 2. Perform simulation 44-04 and confirm the Advanced Process Control reference value is 75. 3. Perform simulation 26-07 and input the correct drum sensitivity value (which appears as the first digit of the drum serial number). 4. Perform simulation 24-07 and reset the drum correction counter. 5. Perform simulation 44-02 and adjust the drum mark sensor level to 180 10. 6. Perform simulation 44-03 and adjust the image density sensor level to 815 10. 7. Place 4 sheets of 11 x 17 (A3) white paper on the original glass and perform simulation 47 to automatically set the AE sensor level. 8. Read notes below before performing simulation 46 to adjust copy density levels as detailed in your OEM service manual. Additional Notes: In Sharp SD-2060/3062 copiers, Simulation 46 sets dirt correction reference and copy density. Therefore, be sure to clean the optical system before this adjustment. After cleaning the optical system, check and adjust the copy density in all modes. If Simulation 46 is not performed, or if it is terminated without checking and adjusting copy density, the Advanced Process Control System will not operate properly. In the Sharp SD-2260 copier, image density correction, optical dirt correction and auto copy density correction are performed when turning on the machine and after canceling certain simulations. After servicing the Sharp SD-2260 and before performing copy density adjustments, the machine should be turned off and then on to ensure that process control corrections are performed.

Installing Katun Feed Tires? Proper Installation Ensures Excellent Performance
Every "crepe-style" (textured surface) Katun feed tire is imprinted with a directional arrow. When installing, it is essential that the imprinted arrow points in the direction of required tire rotation. In certain machine applications, this may mean that the side for the tire that bears the imprinted arrow faces toward the technician; in other applications, the arrow side may face toward the rear of the machine.

Keep bags sealed tightly until feed components will be installed. Store feed components in a cool, dry, and dark location. Clean feed components ONLY with soap and warm water.
