| The bottom door thing hopefully was a one time thing. Makes me wonder what else may have gone by unnoticed. Good value for the money. The 5650 is a pretty good GFX card. I was trying to hold off on writing this until I purchased photoshop. | |

| My personal experience was great with this. I gave this a 4-5 because of the heating issues and outdated hardware inside of a 2010 system. My wife accuses me of having a second wife... my computer. I go everywhere with it, I travel often, and my computer is used at home. My wife accuses me of having a second wife... my computer. CONDENSED INFORMATION FOR CONTRIBUTORS
(See the first issue of the year for the complete Information for Contributors)
The PROCEEDINGS OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES USA publishes articles describing original work in the sciences that are of interest to a wide audience. Only members or foreign associates of the Academy may submit papers, which are accepted on condition that they have not been published and are not submitted elsewhere. Research papers may not exceed five printed pages. Review articles and papers presented at Academy symposia may be published upon invitation from the Editorial Board. Submission of Manuscripts. A member may submit up to six manuscripts in any calendar year. For their own papers, members are requested to provide assurance that the manuscript has been reviewed by a knowledgeable colleague who is not a coauthor. A nonmember must submit his/her manuscript to a member who will obtain (at least) two reviews; the member should select the reviewers and they should remain anonymous to the author. In deciding whether to accept a manuscript for publication, the member may overrule a negative review, but the reason(s) why must be explained explicitly on submission of the paper to the PROCEEDINGS office. To ensure that the communicating member is effective in the role of adjudicating differences of opinion between authors and reviewers, it is essential that he/she be expert in the field of the paper, and this must be certified on the transmittal form. The signed reviews, authors' replies, and members' conclusions (where applicable) must accompany the submission. The Editorial Board reserves the right to subject papers to additional review and to make the final decision on acceptance. For further details, consult the complete Information for Contributors [89 (1), pp. i-viii]. The following general conditions apply. (i) Papers reporting experiments involving human subjects or materials must include authorizing documents issued by the appropriate officials from the institution where the work has been done. (ii) Submission of reports involving recombinant DNA assumes that National Institutes of Health guidelines, or equivalent guidelines in the respective country, have been adhered to. The Editorial Board may request proof to substantiate this assumption. (iii) Publication in the PROCEEDINGS implies that materials employed in the work such as cloned DNAs, antibodies, bacterial, animal, or plant cells, viruses, and
computer programs will be made available to all qualified investigators. The Editorial Board considers submission of an article to represent a firm commitment to this principle. Nucleic acid sequences should be submitted to the GenBank data base. Instructions will be sent to authors of appropriate papers or may be obtained in advance from GenBank. Manuscript Preparation. Adherence to the length limit of five printed pages and the format specifications given below is mandatory. Failure to comply with either will result in delay of publication. The following items are required: 1. Two complete copies of the manuscript 2. One extra copy of both the title page and abstract for editorial board review 3. Two complete sets of illustrations 4. Two complete sets of photocopies of the figures A PROCEEDINGS classification is necessary and up to five key terms that do not repeat terms in the title may be included. Standard abbreviations, which need not be defined, are listed in the complete Information for Contributors; nonstandard abbreviations must be defined on first use in both abstract and text and also should be grouped in a footnote. Only published work and papers in press may be cited in the reference list. Personal communications and citations of in-press work of others must be accompanied by an authorizing letter. Authors' suggestions for figure reductions will be considered but the final decision will be made by the PROCEEDINGS staff, taking lettering size into account. Financial Obligations. A page charge (currently $60 per page, and subject to change) is levied to help defray publication costs. In addition, authors of papers containing color art are expected to pay a surcharge (currently $850 minimum) to cover the added cost of such art. The author assuming the obligation to arrange for payment of these charges should be identified on the manuscript. If an author avoids this responsibility, the liability shifts to the sponsor. Manuscripts should be sent to PROCEEDINGS OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES USA, 2101 Constitution Avenue, Washington, DC 20418 (U.S. Postal Service) or 2139 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., Room 201, Washington, DC 20007 (express and courier services); telephone (202) 334-2525; telefax (202) 224-2926.
