Currently Administrative Officer in the CE Dept. at K-State; formerly worked for KState Student Publications Office, typing up classified ads, etc. Second jobs while working at K-State over the years: Customer Service at the Mall, cleaning job at KMAN/K-ROCK Radio Station, checker at a grocery store. What are some awards you have won? College of Engineering Classified Employee of the Year Award, CE Department Outstanding Staff Award, and College of Engineering Above & Beyond Award. What made you decide to come to K-State? I had relatives living in Manhattan, and I also thought working in a "State" job would provide good benefits and job opportunities. How long have you worked in the CE office? 37 years What do you like to do in your free time? Spend time with family and friends; bowling; reading Do you have a spouse/children? Divorced; one son (28 yrs. old) who lives in Chico, CA, one daughter (25 yrs. old) who lives in Leonardville, but works in Manhattan, a step-grandson (11 yrs. old) and a granddaughter (almost 2 yrs. old) What is your favorite thing to do in Manhattan? Bowling What is your favorite thing about K-state? It's a beautiful campus. What is an interesting fact the students might not know about you? I used to play a saxophone. Don't ask me to play anything for you now!!
