The EZ-Stream Universal Wireless Broadband Router (SMC2304WBR-AG) is ultimate device for setting up your high-speed wireless network. This platform independent Universal Router combines four devices into one box, including a full-featured Router, Auto-Sensing 10/100Mbps Switch, Advanced SPI firewall and ultra-fast Dual-Band Wireless Access Points. The Router function lets you securely share one high-speed Internet connection among your entire network. Wired computers can be connected to the built-in 4-port auto-sensing full duplex 10/100 Switch which can be expanded to meet a growing network by adding a SMC Hub or Switch. For wireless connectivity, the EZ-Stream Universal Router supports any 802.11a, 802.11b, or 802.11g, to insure that any wireless clients can connect. This new EZ-Stream Universal Wireless Broadband Router contains two independent turbo-charged Wireless Access Points, supporting all three of the 802.11 Wi Fi networking standards. One of the Access Points provides broadcasts on the popular 2.4GHz radio band to support both the 802.11b standard at 11Mbps, and the faster, 802.11g at 108Mbps. The second Access Point radio functions in the 5GHz band, and supports 802.11a networking, also at 108Mbps. Since the two radios operate in different bands, they can operate at the same time to create a universal environment where any 802.11 standard will able to connect to your network. Combine these ultra fast Turbo A and Super G modes with the built-in Quality of Service (QoS) and you have the perfect Router for streaming audio and video from your networked PCs to your TV or Radio using the SMC EZ-Stream Digital Media Receiver (SMCWMR-AG). Broadband Router also supports a Wireless Distribution System (WDS) option that repeat the wireless signal to another WDS-enabled device. To protect your network data and personal information, this new Universal Broadband Router supports several wired and wireless security features. For wireless security the Universal Router supports Wi Fi Protected Access (WPA), 64-/128-bit Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), and a disable SSID broadcast option to hide your wireless network from outside scans. The SMC2304WBR-AG also supports MAC Address filtering which applies to both the wired and wireless clients on your network, when enabled, only clients listed in the table will have access to the internet and your network. Other popular features included in this Router are, support for 8 DMZ hosts, fully configurable SPI firewall, email alert, VPN pass-through, and Universal Plug-and-Play support. To control network access, parents, or business owners can block certain websites by entering either a URL address or just a keyword of the website based on time and date.
